So my ex-husband was very good-looking when he was younger, he still is now, but imagine, like 30 years ago. So sometimes I'd be seeing him walking down the street and I go, Wow, that's a good looking guy. Well, that's why I reckon love it. What's up, everyone, welcome to another episode of On Display. I hope everyone's having a great week this week. OK, guys. As someone who doesn't hold back on sharing their opinion, especially when it comes to my show, I thought Why not pull on someone who is known for sharing her opinion on the Housewives? She's the OG of The Real Housewives of New York, and she's a successful businesswoman, and she hosts her new podcast with her daughter, Avery. It's called Turtle Time. Ladies and gentlemen, I have miss Ramona Singer today. Hi. Hey, I missed you. We haven't seen each other. While I think since I ran into you in Montauk, is that the last time I saw you? Yes, that Gurney's right in personnel. And then we did a face time call recently when you're at the benefit at the Pier Hotel, which is really one of my favorite hotels. Do you know that hotel is so beautiful? I think I would put it before the plaza, even. I love it. It's warm, it's intimate. It's old world. I renewed my vows there. You did. You did. And I don't know what it was. Six or something. Yeah, or five. Unbelievable. How is your relationship with your ex? Are you guys still close and friendly? Yeah, he celebrated his 70th birthday. Can you believe it? You seventeen year. He looks like fifty five. I got to be honest, both of you age, but like you, both age. So well. So whatever you did, like coming up in your 30s and your 40s and your 50s, I don't know, but you guys really do age beautifully both. He's such a handsome man, also so sweet. And so he invited me to his birthday party, but I couldn't go. But he did spend Easter with me, my daughter and he and several of our other friends I had, like six people. I meet rack of lamb bird encrusted rack of lamb. I made a homemade lemon iced bundt cake. Oh my gosh. I got the actual pan from so little, but it was like a beetle. It looked like it was like you didn't make that, did you? I go, Oh, I did. It was really good. Yeah. One thing you guys might not know about Ramona. She's actually an excellent cook, right? Ramona, you cook a lot. Yeah, because I'm a chef. I cook. I love cooking. I'm really good. Yeah. And that surprises me because you're such like, you know, you're such a New York socialite where you travel a lot. You're out a lot. You do your thing. But you're you're also like, very family oriented. I remember you telling me one of my favorite stories you told me when we were on the ultimate girls trip is how you know you. You said your daughter used to know, or it was just known that Saturdays at like five o'clock. It was your special time to like, go into the room with Mario. And everybody knew that was like your time to be alone every Saturday. Right? Car doesn't get very caught up with your family. Your friends sports, whatever. Yeah, I always find her. I'm really a caregiver. I mean, I like taking care of people. I'm going to bit one of the way you take care of people is you feed them and make them home cooked meals. And I love doing it right. Is Mario with anyone else? Is he dating anyone? He has a really nice girlfriend. She's lovely. She actually came for dinner, too. Oh, she did. OK, Modern Family. I love the best time I'm having right now with Avery because you'll see as your daughter gets older, which you know your kids are getting older. But she's 28 and is doing this turtle time podcast with her and I together. It's a way for me to stay connected to her and connect with my fans because I'm traveling all the time so I can do this remotely no matter where I am. So I'm loving it. I'm really loving it. That's the best thing about it. And we're going to talk all about turtle time. I mean, it's like if you want to get into it a little bit. Let's discuss how. So you do have this new podcast. It's with you. This is number three the first week out because listen, you are. You're a great personality. You really are. I feel like when you say things, you mean it and you kind of you're very unfiltered. And I think that's why people will love you and they love me and my daughter keeps me in line. Are you kidding me? Like, she's like them? She like the boss. Is she the boss? Does she? But she keeps me in line, like, she's like, you know? Yes, we like. That's what I can tell you. She keeps you on par, so it's like when you're discussing a conversation, she she wants to stick to the conversation. And if I go to on Friday say something that's really not quite polite, ma'am, come on. That's not really what you meant. You're not saying it correctly. You're right. You're right. I stand corrected. Oh my god. See, I love that. I love that. So tell me about what is it? What is it about? What are you guys mainly talk about or discuss on your podcast? You know, we're only we've only the second one is dropping and we're going to drop on Wednesday. So the second one is going to drop tomorrow and we're OK today's Tuesday. And and basically we kind of tie in Bravo to real life. I talk about behind the scenes things that people don't really know that went on between Avery and I and the other cast members. Like we remember, like I said, you know, you can't control how you're edited. I have to own what I do, but I get edit. I get it. They make they don't show that every individual that really business savvy side of mind. I mean, I was the first woman to go in HS and I developed the wine. I developed this and that and everything else. And they never showed that they show me as a zany, unfiltered party girl and girls trip. The room I picked, I ended up with. I picked the edit that all out. They made it look like I just took that route and I had the star. The Red Star. But they never showed that they showed me walking in with a red star, but they made it like I never played the game. So you went, Oh, you mean on the first trip when you took the bedroom? Did you pick that room? I don't know. I feel like you ran in there as soon as we got there, did you? What I did was, yes, of course, because white fans were saying, You know? You were saying you better get the best room because you're known. But I didn't that. Only. I didn't think it through. And I just, you know, I think I should. I've earned this because I'm the eldest and the longest running housewife. And then, of course, everyone said, No, we have to play a game and we did play a game and I picked that room. But then everyone got mad that I got a great room, that we got to play the game over like, Oh, no way, I'm going to go right into the shower. And they never showed that they edited that out. That was, well, originally you did take the bathroom because you were listening to your fan. I just walked into it saying, yes, yes, yes. Which which whatever you you fought for, your little teeny little good. It was good TV. Come on, give us good TV. That's what I will say to you. It was good. Oh, and I got to do unscripted by myself. It was the first time that I ever because, you know, I've always been friendly with you. We've seen each other out of bed. You and I have always gotten along. I will say that like we have personality, I think you have the most loving, fun husband and I love his eyes. How about those guys now? I got great eyes, green eyes. He's got great green eyes. But you've always been very loving and awesome with us. That was the first time I ever actually had to, like, work with you on like a work basis. And you, I really was like, I thought you were so funny and I was like, You know, I'm known as Llewyn, says Ramona. You set the fires and run away. How about that fire I set between you and Theresa saying that she was upset at the show and she looked at me. You guys had a big heart, but I had no idea I was going to start. I was like, Good God, Ramona. That's like the question of the year is always about like the fact that I'm on this show. Leave it to Ramona to bring it up. But it was actually good. We talked about it. We moved on from it within like 20 minutes. So again, I'll give you I'll give you the good TV card with that or you to take. I mean, I should be asking this question now, but how are you? Are you talking to each other now or not? I mean, this is like the million dollar question everyone wants to know. Like, I know, I know. Listen, it's been rough. You know, we just films. We just filmed the reunion and it was rough. You know what I will say? I have been reading a lot of things saying that like, I want to leave the show or I'm no longer going to be on the show. I just want everyone to know I'm not leaving the show. I'm going to bring it up. And I didn't. I wanted you to say. First, I want to say something. I've learned to be more filter. Very good. They would have said, Oh, so I hear you're leaving the show. You don't want to believe it. I didn't say that. I just said, Oh, you want to discuss something better? Exactly. So I'm actually glad. I'm actually glad you asked me, and I want to put it out there that no, I have no intentions on leaving. I never run away when the going gets tough. That's not my personality right now. I'm either resilient, right? And you know what, I we've been our family has been through ups and downs. So for for so many years on this show and I have never left before and I have no intentions on leaving now. So, you know, some of these fans out there, they and I'm sure you've experienced this. They get this idea in their head or they get they grab on to something and they just run with it and run with it. And unfortunately, some people actually believe it, right? People believe. One thing we need to say, right, Ramona from both of us do not believe everything you read like both like for real. That's the worst part. That's the worst part. I say the most negative thing about doing the show or doing the show was the press that was all made up stuff they take. They take a little fact, exaggerated make up things. I mean, I would get calls from Page Six every week and try to confirm something. And I go, Don't you have something better else to write that about when she thinks about that important you? Very frustrating. But I have to say, I mean, I think it's very scary for or can be very detrimental to family relationships. When your family film, I mean, look, it's going on with you and your sister in law, and then you have she has her brother on the show. And then look at Kyle and and Kathy Hilton, they're going to talk to each other because of the show. I mean, that's that's like sad. That's really to me. A family, to me is everything. So? Of course, of course. And you know, it's things that go on, on and off the show. If if I'm being honest, it's not all about the show. There's definitely like and this is years and years and years. And you know, it's it's difficult. It sure is difficult. But I agree with you that press is one of the hardest things, especially as a housewife, because for some reason, I guess housewives sell, right? So they want to just keep writing about us writing about it. You know, I saw something you're actually going to see this to this week, right on this show. We gift my daughter with her. She turned 17 and we gift her on the show. Joe surprised her with her new car. I'm reading, OK, it's cute. It's a very sweet moment. She actually, she cries and it's adorable. She was very grateful and I love to see her that way. I'm reading like from the hater accounts Antonia's car repossessed. I'm like, like, what are they saying? Like, what do they like, Ramona? Some of it is so weird and like, add a loop. Somebody said, You're like, one of my children is not mine. I'm like, Are not Joe's. Rather, I don't know like some of that. Is so crazy that even comes from this so far and so far left, I mean, what's the craziest thing you think you ever read about yourself in the press that you think was just so ridiculous? Do you remember something that I knew a lot? This is what would get me in trouble. I mean, that's why, you know, it's nice to take a step back from filming and doing it so much because. You know, you're married, but when you're single, men don't like to be in the press or they don't want to see me in the press and all that stuff. So I remember I was dating this guy exclusively, and we was New Year's Eve and we went to this great restaurant. We had a few drinks and we're kissing and we were actually kissing on the bank passionately. You know, I was with all my friends. We took over the area, so whatever. And then it was written up two weeks later. Ramona spotted kissing a man. La la la la. And maybe I should tell Tom about this story. And then he brought up because, you know, Ramona, there's an article about you kissing some guy like, who was that guy? Who are you kidding? I know. That was you. They put it in two weeks later. Oh my God. Another time I was dating. We went to my one of my favorite restaurants, Scarpetta, and he sat and we sat there and. And next week, something was in the press, Ramona is having dinner with some good looking guy or whatever, and he said, Oh, it was Tom. No, I said I should have said it was him gone with it. Instead, I said, Oh, that wasn't you, that was someone else. And they said, You know, you know, I can't date you exclusively because then my friends will read something in the papers that you're with someone else. And how does that look? But. That's the O.C D.O.C..com/ Melissa ZocDoc.com/ Melissa. Yeah. Because you're a single woman, right? Kind of. So that does interfere when you're dating and you're. It does stress man out. Have you noticed that your fame and just your your character, right, that they portray you as on the show for so many years? Did that affect men for you and for them to take you seriously? And like when you're on a date with them, was it hard for you to tell them, Listen, I am a character on the show, but this is who I am in real life was that it was difficult for them. It was the attention from the fans. I'd be on a date and they'd want a picture. I know you're on a date kind of a photo, you know, and they interrupt me in the middle of the dinner, you know, and just, you know, just come after me, like, really hard. And they were just they didn't want to clear that up. There's a lot of people that say that you're rough, right? So like that, if they ask you for a picture, a lot of times you don't love to take, one is there is. That may be the reason because this approach, not some people to say, Hey, I want a photo. I'm like, No, if they say, Hi Ramona, it's so great to see you. I've been watching you on TV. My mother watches you so excited to see you. And then all you say, would you like a photo? It's all about the approach, you me. And it don't mean anything. I don't want a friend who means anything. If someone you know is appreciative and it has a warm demeanor and not just like giving you a photo, right? It's a turnoff. They have to come at you in the right way. It is about the approach and it's part of us being on this show, you know, the fans and just people like love, you know, and I appreciate that. But you know, I'm really a private person. I'm very friendly and outgoing when you know me, but I really never liked all the attention and the fame. I never did it for the fame intention. A lot of housewives, they purposely go to places for the fame and the attention, right? Rather be under the radar and live my life. I love doing. I love doing the show and it was great in a lot of ways more positive than negative. But I don't like the attention, the media attention, the press and the people. I just don't get it right. I just I see that about you and I, and I can vouch for you on that. I've been out with you many, many times. You're not the girl that wants to sit at the table where everyone's going to see her, and you're very similar to me like that where you'd rather be in the back of the room with without the attention happening. And I will vouch for you on that. You don't like the extra attention at all. And that's the truth. Like before a public event or charity event, you know, at times, you know, we get invited for charities and the people are going on photos now, course. I'll do that. I'll do it gladly because I'm already doing that. You know another Oh God, thank God for selfies, because remember when it for I don't know if people even did selfies years ago, they would make me do photos four times. I don't like that photo could do it again. I don't like that. We do it again. I don't like that. What can we do it again? And like I do with my girlfriend, like, let's say you need to get at the wine festival and the your girlfriend's getting frustrated standing there. And then I have 10 people coming over to me constantly and I'd say, You know what? Thank you, but you know, thank you for your support, but I'm having an intimate time with my girlfriend right now, because then if you're my girlfriend, what would you want to do with me? Everyone's like taking photos with me. This was supposed to be a photo op, you know, saying, No, I get it. And that's why I like doing this podcast because I have this way now of connecting with my fans. They can writing questions and they get to see the whole me and not edited unedited. So you're unfiltered, you're completely unfiltered, and we're getting the real Ramona. I am very excited about your podcast. Let me talk to you a little bit. Have they are? Have you been allowed to confirm? Is there a legacy happening? Are we doing the legacy? I don't really know. I mean, Bravo's pretty smart. I mean, I personally, as everyone knows, didn't like the whole idea of the legacy as a whole series. But maybe just a small trip for legacy could be ideal. But I don't know really what Bravo has going on. And, you know, they're pretty smart. They know what they're doing. I mean, listen, looking good to me, good to you. So I guess I'll figure out some way someday, and it might be some sort of like girls trip that I am down for. I would watch you guys all day just because you guys are monumental. Like, I just I would love to see you guys go on a girls trip, especially having been on the first one with you, just knowing I think it would be so different than a lot of what we were dancing. I did. We did, and we had a great we had a great villa and a great spot. They sent us to people working there to help us. It was wonderful. Food was fabulous. Everything was great. Did you hear about the Brandy Caroline thing? And like, what are your thoughts on that? Did you hear that like on their girls trip, like something major happened there? Well, I just don't think anybody should touch anybody inappropriately, period. You should put your hands up anyone for a hug, you know, around like that. But even then, you got to know the person you're hugging. You know what I'm saying or that friendly to begin with? So I just I feel bad for Menzel, for Caroline's, you know, because she's a down to earth, warm giving person and for her to be in a situation that she didn't feel comfortable. And you know, everyone's perception is different. You know, Brady may feel she did nothing wrong because that's brandy to Carolyn. She felt that she, you know, went too far. Are with her actions, so the bottom line is you have to respect someone's boundaries. That's the bottom line. So right? And you know, I know both of them very, very well. And I said this the day before they went, they could not be more opposite in personality wise, they could not be more opposite. So I could foresee something like this happening where Brandy did not understand why anything was wrong, what she was doing and Caroline would take it totally like it was a horrific thing, very straight laced and very yes. And yes, she's a lot of fun, though a lot of people don't know that, and I think I like her. I like her, and I think she wanted to show her fun side on this trip. And so maybe she had a couple of c**ktails. I don't know the exact and you know, she probably there was a boundary cross that I think she just thought was like way too far and fun loving. And she's very sexy and sensual, and she loves girls and men, and she just loves to be Brandy's greatest brandy. But it was just like they didn't try now. I knew I could tell you before they even went there that something like that was was probably going to happen. OK, so you're not sure about the legacy you're not. But would you do it if offered? Would you go and would you do anything? I no, I don't at this point want to do it any long show because I have so many new things I'm doing and enjoying. And, you know, I'm just so much more relaxed now. And I think, you know, it's like when someone becomes president, you see them come out four years later and they age. Well, now that I'm not doing the show, I've gotten younger, looking fresher. I'm happier, I'm calmer. So, yeah. Do you feel is it refreshing to no longer be on? I can. Maybe in the beginning it's a little rough, right trying to adjust. But do you feel much happier now not being on? You do the ultimate girls trip? We did. I mean, Kenya was pretty mean to me. I mean, she was going after me nonstop and they didn't show it the ed. They ended her in a better way not to show how nasty she was to me, that I always wanted to leave that trip to tell you the truth. That ultimate girls trip. You were scared. There was one point on the boat that you were very, very nervous where Kyle and I were kind of standing next to you and Kyle was holding you on that boat. I remember you feeling nervous. And then so that's what I'm saying. Like looking back, you're like, You know what? What actually do I miss, right? It's one of those things where you had a long, you had a great long run and people know you. But something like this, a podcast is probably better for you where you're it's unfiltered and you can speak your truth and speak your mind. And people could fall in love with, like the real Ramona and who you are. Oh, and I'm going on the road. We're signed with Live Nation, so Mother's Day week of going to Austin and I'm going to Dallas and Houston to appear so. Oh wow. You next week, next Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. That is awesome. I love that with your podcast. You and no, no, no. This is a live show. It's an entertainment show. It's me, Dorinda and Luanne. It's fabulous. We did in Chicago and Atlanta was basically sold out. Avery was so impressed with mom that you like, planned the script or anything. I don't know. We're just naturals for, oh geez, we know what we're doing here. We entertain the audience with tons of fans screaming and going crazy. It was fabulous. I can honestly say that completely taking off a lot of people. That's a great fun night out for the ladies and the girls. Come have a c**ktail watch. You girls talk. I can see that. That's so smart. Quinn, who's very bright from People magazine, he's the moderator. He knows exactly what he's doing and it's just, it's a really good show. It's a great show. Good luck, Dave Quinn. And for you guys, I don't know. Dave Quinn wrote that book The Big Housewives book of like all Elmore. Yes, the tell all. He is an amazing, amazing guy. I actually had him on my podcast. Love him so much. So let me ask you, what do you know any of the new New York girls? Do you know anything about the new show at all? I, well, I'll say two of them came up to me. I was at Casa Tribbiani. Derek, OK, you won the Casa Tribbiani. The really beautiful places. They just the decor inside looks almost like a ship. It's gorgeous. So I think your name, I don't know, you know, pronounce anything right. Ooyala, Uber, Uber. Yes, I've met Uber before. She is fantastic. Gorgeous, tall, gorgeous girl, gorgeous girl. I met her at the Polo Bar actually when I was in there and she came up to me and introduced herself and I met two of them. Actually, last night I did something for for E ! With the Met Gala and they were both there. I met Erin and Jenna, so I don't know if you've ever met yet. I'm going to work for crew, right? Correct. Jenna worked for crew. Yeah. And then I also met. She came over to me during Art Basel. I can't think of her handle, but she's always dressed and she dresses gorgeous and she has. She's very exotic looking. I don't know if she's Spanish or she's beautiful skin, beautiful features and just dresses. Fantastic. I can't think of her name and she has a couple of children and I think she's she's a in the fashion, which when that one was, I met Aaron last night. We're very nice girls, both of them very, very sweet. Let me ask you, do you think Bravo is doing the right thing revamping? Will you watch it? What do you feel? I believe it or not, I don't really watch too many housewife shows because I really don't have time. I'm really busy, I'm very social, I go out, I like to read books. And if I do watch TV, it's Netflix. It's Netflix. A lot right now. I just hang with it. Called the something agent so good. I was just curious if you would want to see the new girls or if it would annoy you or like what happens if you have an error? I mean, you know, I just was a Bravo knows what they're doing, but you know, of course, I started the show. We were all icons on the show and then for them to sweep us all to the side and then put them all on. I mean, it's like huge. But you know what? They know what they're doing and hopefully they'll do well. And you know, listen, God bless there's enough room out there for everybody. Well, that's nice. That's a nice, positive way to look at it. I thought originally they were doing very like young, like 30, but I heard they're from 35 to 55. So I think anywhere in between. I originally thought they were doing all very like young girls, but I don't think I don't think they actually are now. So but that's good. OK, so maybe I'll watch. Maybe won't I get it? Totally fine? Tell me what else is going on in your life? Do you still talk to Andy? Like, do you? Are you still friendly with him or how does that go? Yeah, yeah, absolutely. OK, good. I think a lot of people always wonder that like when, when, when someone's no longer on the show or something goes on, like if they're really we have a great relationship. In fact, Avery, she launched her company Batch Boss, which is a bespoke service of high end bachelor and bachelorette parties, and he could make it permanent and do something even better than becoming a person. I'm going to have her on as a bartender with her partner, Jolene, they went on and six production companies, even your production company, approached them to do their own reality show to please that right? Well, this, you know, sort of like below the deck, you know, you just what you do is you show different bachelor or bachelorette parties, whether it be into bloom or Miami or wherever. Yes, seven production companies want them to do a show. Well, listen that I would watch that show because everyone knows that what goes down like a bachelor or bachelorette party is always just like a one night thing. Everybody kind of gets a little wild and crazy. I think that could be such an interesting concept. I think even more than that, I think one is inspirational to girls. In their 20s and 30s. It shows how Avery and Jody started a service company on the right service companies a great way to start a business because there's no big overhead. There's no variable costs. It's like a great thing and you're providing a service that's not out there, so it's not much competition. So it's very inspirational. Also, it's just very inspirational because it's sort of like the lifestyles, the rich and famous. You're seeing these really high end three day fabulous vacations because everything. Now these young kids, it has to be Instagrammable. They're embracing. Remember when we got engaged, you know, Joe with you private. Now they have videos they put on Instagram that the big fireworks are going up in the sky. It's crazy. All crazy. So it's true. Even bachelor, like we went to new. I think I went to New York for my bachelorette party, for the night with my girlfriends, and Joe went to Atlantic City. Now it's like we're going three days to Greece. We're going five days to Italy. We're doing Miami. It's like, What is this? Where did you get more than that? Because now when the bride to be arrived in the room, the women at the make sure it says the bride and balloons and the flowers. And then they go by the pool. You got to make sure you have the right spot cabana and you have like 10 girls have to wear turquoise bathing suits or matching and the brightest wear a white bathing suit being green with envy. And there's the chefs and the boats and the yachts and the clubs and the bottle service. It's like it's a full time job to arrange it. So that's what she's doing it because she brings her bachelor party for girlfriend, and she's almost like a full time job is going to be a business. You know what? That's genius. And you are right. And someone said to me because you gave birth to her that day. Yes, that was like the happiest day of my life. But I a birthday for excellence or birthday. I'm like, thrilled. How old is she today? 28. 28? Awesome. Awesome. Is she dating anyone or is she single? No, she's you know, she's dating, but she, you know, she's first of all. All her friends are getting married, so she's going to go to Provence for four days for a wedding. She's going to Paris for six days for a wedding. She just got to go to the Breakers in Palm Beach for a wedding. She just she's going to she's going all over. She's she's been going all over to showers and weddings. And don't ask. She's she's all over the place. Good for her. Now, what will you guys do tonight? Are you? Is she in town? Are you in New York right now or where are you? To New York? She I took her last night, one on one for dinner at Scarpetta. It's one of her favorite places and mine too, which I love, and they're back downstairs ville, which is so much fun with the music. And tonight she's having 15 girls to celebrate her birthday here at my apartment. Oh, cute, I like that. So you, you travel a lot. Where do you go? You're from. You really just go from Florida to New York, right? You have to. So like, then you know, I'll travel. I'll make I'll make my headquarters either New York, Hamptons or Florida. But I was in Florida. I traveled to St. Barts. I traveled to the Bahamas. I traveled to Aspen. Now that I'm here, I'll be traveling to the Hamptons, New York. I'll probably go to Nantucket. Maybe I'll go to Europe in August. I'm not sure. Maybe traveling buddies. You have people, your girlfriends, you have certain girlfriends that just love to travel with you. We watch you. I follow you on Instagram and I'm like, Where's Ramona today? Like you said, Where's Waldo? Where's Ramona? Where's Ramona like? You live your best life. You look like you really are. We can't be mad at you for it. It's like, Oh, I love it, and you're this is what I worked hard for. I mean, I listen. I put myself through college. I worked the whole time in high school. I'm self-made. My ex-husband, he didn't know I had what I had when I married him. Seven figures of bankable both properties and I got divorced. How many women can take two properties the New York apartment and the if home in the Hamptons? I now have a third property in Florida, so I do think. And you know what? It's time for me to sit back and enjoy my life, not work so hard. You, you really, truly are like a successful self-made businesswoman, and I do think a lot of people might not know that about you. A lot of people might think you married into money, right? And that year I had the money going. Ramona had all the money. I love it. But I know I remember you telling me this when we were on the girls trip and I was blown away and you were telling me about the different businesses before you even got married and how you used to invest right before you even got married. And all these that you were telling me you were very open on that girls trip, you were telling me stories about your childhood things that happened between you and your mother like you. You have so much anything because, you know, a lot of women, they get caught up with a marriage and they don't provide for themselves or even know where their investments are, the money. And then maybe for whatever reasons the man has a midlife crisis or that the marriage doesn't work and they have nothing in the bank, they have no career and they're left stranded. You know, I have this one girl, her husband maneuver to get her out there in a gorgeous 20 million dollar townhouse. Because we have some problems, you've got to move out. You put her into a rental apartment and then he filed for divorce and then tried to stay in the rental apartment. Just don't ask. I mean, you have to protect yourself and know where the money is and what's going on at all times. Well, that's what I was just going to ask you. What's your advice to women out there that own their, you know, they want to own their own business and they have dreams of doing it? Do you have any advice for anyone out there that that just push them forward a little bit? Well, that's where we say service business is the best because the least capital, you know? So let's say if you, you know, people you know, people like entertain at home a lot like, let's say you make great flower arrangements, you know, a great, you know, that's maybe your love. You can start doing it on the side and you just add you make the flowers, you charge extra money, not as much as a floor. So you first cut it down, build your reputation. Maybe you're a great dessert maker. People always need great desserts when they entertain to bring to people to have it their home. So do that. Or maybe, you know, a service business, whatever it may be, I don't know. It could be anything maybe like, OK, they have is we like our pots planted. So maybe you know how to do beautiful pots around the pool so you can charge for that. And you know, you maintain the plants or maintain their gardens and whatever you like a service business, maybe your great style, your would you get that out? That would get that out. But I want that. So you could be a stylist for your friends are for right and you grow from word of mouth. You find your passion, you know, find your passion. You know, maybe you are a great tennis player. You can get tennis lessons or me or, you know, even, OK, another great business is tutors. Everyone needs to know which money money these tutors make. In some areas, 500 bucks an hour, so set up a service with qualified tutors, and here the company, people come in to find tutors or or do a service for housekeepers or service for grade housekeepers. Right tutors are the thing right now, I can tell you. Just by having grade school children and middle school, even my high school tutors are in like everybody wants a tutor, that's for sure. And they can charge almost what a lawyer charges. Sometimes I know. I pay for Avery when my girlfriend told me, You're going to be spending five six hundred dollars for a tutor an hour, whatever I thought was crazy. I remember Avery went to Sacred Heart, her, I think Sacred Heart. The time was like, I don't know, was like 10 years ago. I think it was like fifty thousand dollars to go or forty thousand. That's my tutors. So thank you, Bravo for helping me make more money my other businesses. So I said we spent eighty thousand that year for her career. It's oh, it's crazy. I actually we just, you know, Anthony is going to college in August. It's time for my daughter to go to college. So we just did the whole college thing and she just picked her college. She's going to announce it next week or two. But yeah, she we just did this and I couldn't believe I'm like, wow. At college, I didn't know I'm a first time college mom, right? So I just I just I just done it on my own. But now it's competition. Everyone gets a tutor to do scored well on your acts and teams with the use, so you have to, you know? Do what everyone else is doing is terrible. Well, let me ask you this last piece of advice as a mom to a mom that you have a daughter that's 10 years older than mine, right? So when she was 15, 16, 17, 18 was the relationship between the mother and daughter, and she like a little bit more difficult than it is now. Well, it was strained. We be fighting all the time. You know, all the time, and I know that is I'll tell you exactly why, because they were so close to us. They're so close. They love it so much. They they have to show their independence, especially right before they go to college. She's what a junior now. No, she's a senior. She's going to college. She's going to be a star. She told me the biggest virtue. So you know what? Pick your battles just like you. And what I would do, I'd walk away from her. And then she knew she did something wrong and she come running every mommy. Mommy, do you still love me? Yeah, I still love you. But right now I don't like you. I don't like, you know, can I tell you she is just so like strong and I like anything I say. I feel like she wants to put a twist on it, or she wants to change it, or she wants to say it a different way. Or if I want her to make a left, I need to tell her to make a right, because then because she's trying to find her independence from me because she's going out of the nest. And yet like this, so close, so close that now she has to physically break away emotionally, emotionally. She has to break away from you, and the way she's doing is putting up a wall and fighting with you to get angry at you to make the PPV or a barrier. So when she leave, she's not going to be crying every night. Do you think that's what it is? Let me ask you this. Like, what age did you notice? Was it when she got out of college or older? When did they like it? No. Once she turned the corner when she went to college, because then she appreciates everything that we do for them. It was just before college then, after which once she was in college, she was great me. I was very fortunate. She called me every day. She said most kids don't even call their parents even once a week. You know how lucky you are. I call you every day and we did because we had we were very close. But that last year? Oh my gosh. I mean, even more, you had the referee. Don't speak to your mother like that. What's wrong with you? That's true. That's true. Every day he's like, Oh my God, you guys, what's happening? And I'm just like, I don't know, Joe. She's so resilient right now. She's so like in her mode. I mean, she's the best kid. She's really she's a great kid. We just, you know, it's a psychological development that she needs to do. She has to say that I'm like, Wow, I did always want a strong minded little girl. But damn. Oh, my goodness. Like, is she strong minded? And like, Who are you? You're not the girl I raise. Where's my sweet loving? You could do anything, mom. I love you so much, girl. Instead, she's trying to hit you on the head all the time. I remind her of the text messages she used to send me as a little girl, which was just like heart-to-heart flower, flower flower. I love you, mommy. So much. You're the best mommy in the world. Like, I'm like, Where are those text messages? Bring them back to me, please. But I do know that when she goes to college, I heard she's going to miss me so much and she's going to realize and she's going to call me all the time. So I'm actually very excited about that. I'm actually very excited about that. Anyway, Ramona, I'm really so glad I got to talk to you today with his love times. Maybe when she's in college, you don't have time to talk or something, so just say, Oh, can you send me? Oh, you know, what are you doing? Oh, you're going to the winery? Are you going to the library or I don't know what have you sent me photos? Send me a photo. So you still feel connected me to the photos. Oh, that's a good. That's good. OK. I feel like she's going to be like that. I can tell already when she leaves the house, she's just going to want me more and realize and I can tell she when she's when she thinks I'm upset with her. Like what you just said before she comes crawling back into the room like mom. And she'll just try to have like a nice conversation when she knows I'm annoyed with her. I feel like she talked fresh to me or something. Are you getting a knot in your stomach? Is during the summer, the summer she was leaving, you know, which was like in June, July. I sort of think it's not in my stomach like a sick feeling. I didn't like it. So I took I did a yoga class and it kind of calmed me and made the stress go away because I was really feeling like all churned up my back because I was banned for her, but her leaving because we were so close. I do stress about it. I'm mean, I eat more than one child, so you're fortunate. Yes, I but she's my only daughter, but I do have I do stress about it and sometimes I have to sit back and say, Wait. So next year, I'm going to wake up in the morning and Tony is not going to be here. She's not going to walk in the door at three o'clock like she's not going to have dinner with us on Friday nights. Like, what? What's happening? I do sit back and it's crazy to me. I never thought I would. First of all, I never thought I would get to this age, right? That's going to start happening because it's like I always had the little kids. I didn't think that I was going to happen. Then I'm like, Wow, she's like a force. She's a force in this house. She's a very she's a Leo, so she comes in. She's very like strong minded. I'm like, What is the house kind of you? Hello, a mini yo. Come on. Yes, she really is. So, but thank you. I love all your mother advice because you know you have one a little older than me. So listen, I love talking to you today. I'm so glad we caught up and we need to have dinner or catch up in person to.
