Action park media. OK, Jane, who killed Jane does not this blog, Jane, I think we've been friends. Welcome back to the podcast, Doug Allen. I'm Kevin Dillon and I'm Chuck Liddell sitting in for Kevin Connolly. We are bringing the big guns out today. So Chuck, you know, I was introduced to the UFC, Rob Weiss, when we were doing the show. I didn't really know about it. I thought it was a little bit of a joke. And then he started telling me about Chuck the Bell, and then I watched these fights and I was hooked and have been ever since. But thanks for coming on. We really appreciate it. Thanks for having me. That's great. Yeah, I mean, I watched the episode this morning, and Dylan and I watched together. We showed you a scene and your acting was great. Had you done any acting before? I hadn't done a lot at that point, and that was one of my first big, actually big lines part. Actually, I actually had more than in more than a couple of words, a couple of grunts or something. And were you stressed out about that, what it was starting or no? Not, not really. I think I would have been a lot more stressed. I was going to get when I guess we can hold the story in case Kevin Can explained how I kind of my manager told me I didn't have any real lines on the movie at all. And someone, Kevin, kind of let me know that you guys have a couple of lines in there. Explain it better when he's here, but I so I'm like, Oh, I call my man, can I? Can you send me over the script? I need to know what I'm doing. I'm so glad he did, because I've got a good short term memory. I'm good at memorizing things, but I'm not an actor like I don't do that normal to memorize. I think, what am I going to memorize all that if I was the first time I looked at it, like I thought like it would have been, it would have been a little struggle. The other stuff when you were in the ring and calling me out, you had a lot to say there. Yeah, so I mean, for you guys are great. I mean, everyone, everyone there was great help me. Someone who is not wasn't comfortable acting. I'm a lot more comfortable now. But back then I was new to me, but I was more excited than anything because look, I got on that show. At least the way I know is I asked everybody, I knew that any connection with getting anywhere close to the show to get on the show. Oh wow. I didn't know I wanted to walk on and say hi to Vince because I was always all these. I seen celebrities walking and saying hi to that. I'm like, I just want to do that because I was. It's the last show that I actually watched every day when it came out. I mean, I would be I didn't know I was out of town. I'd find out, Hey, maybe I'll find someone at HBO like I got to. I was like, looking for one for our HBO on Sunday. It's very, you know, so but that's how I that's how I got on the show and I asked everybody I know I just can't go talk to Dana Typekit and then I guess, I don't know, how did I get signed? They said they decided, what if I'm going to be honest, I was right in the end of the show. Yeah, I mean, listen, I know from my I never heard that, which is awesome. Rob Wise kept saying, Chuck Liddell, we've got to get him on the show, whatever. And honestly, not to be an a*****e. I was like, What's a chocolate belt? I didn't know at the time, and then I started watching the fights and I was like, Oh my God, let's get him on. And then we did. And I guess we probably did overwrite it a little bit because you, you weren't an actor, but you killed it. Like, I'm watching it now. You seem so natural, you know? Yeah. So but you did some like commercials and stuff. I. I done some commercials. I've done some stuff and actually some of the stuff on the commercials. I was like, Look, man, if you if you put that, if you make a cue card for that statement, one more time, I'm going to punch somebody like you didn't have much. I'm sure, you know, UFC champion, I don't need a cue card. Yeah, I can say that without a cue card that we give Dylan cue cards for s**t like, yeah, right. I forgot my opening line, actually. So I guess you did. Hi, I'm rusty. I was in wine country. I'd actually never seen that I did. I did a movie in Bachelor Party in Vegas or whatever was. I got a fun movie, but I remember one of the guys doing a scene and was like, These are an actor that I see you regularly see on TV. And they had full cue cards as he's walking up giving his full speech. I was like, Yeah, yeah, really? And I'll show, I'll show you the position and then going, and it looks like it's the first time we ran it. But oh, and then he goes and he goes off, and there's a whole resolving. And I was like, some of the best actors. Marlon Brando. No, I'll show you something that is healing and pinning them to other actors are set. I'll show you some pictures of some I'll mention I know you're talking about, yeah, I've been giant cue cards and you know, and everyone was looking around like, what the f**k? Because everyone could see it. It was a little uncomfortable. But yeah, so chuck that scene at the opening in the parking lot. I mean, even when I just watched it with you and Dylan, I could almost feel you getting a little like, like rageful when you were doing the scene. My ass, like I was worried for myself there. I mean, what would you do if someone did that to you at a think tank? I'm actually pretty laid back. I mean, with me doing something like that is acting and I can I. I've actually good at doing stuff like that because a lot of people ask me to mess with their friends, right? Like, Hey, guys, hey, commenced my run over there. Then I'll come back and I'll do it, and then I'll come back later and the guy's gone. I'm like, Where's yet at? He thought you were going to kick his a*s. I'm like, You didn't tell him, No, it was funny or not. They were like, it's really easy to let him off the hook, come on. That's what I think was so interesting about his performance. You are really like, laid back and nice, and I don't think that was the reaction anyone gave you. You just bring it. I'm like, Jesus. But there has I've had at times when I have been, I felt that way like someone did something to the point where I had a guy. One time you got punk, then you get punk. I got punked by a bad cop. Yeah, I saw that. Yeah, that was insane. He talked about the show, the show. He got pulled over by a cop and the cops like, get in his face. And I was like, he was in the back and like, they were. And it's funny because Dana knows me so well. Like so Dana's feeding him stuff to say to me, you know, because they're trying it. They don't try to say that. They were saying I was a miss, the Leno show, and I was like, Chuck doesn't care if he misses the Leno show, right? He's more worried about me, Dana worrying about more about me being upset. He missed a little show and he's worried about missing Leno. So I don't. That's not going to make him mad. Talk about his grandfather. So Popeye goes on and I'm like, Is this guy really? Are you talking to me? And, you know, but the funniest part about that was, what is the thing about that punk was they didn't show the one thing like, I was surprised they didn't show because I kept kneeling down because I think saw from squats, I squat down and a cop goes, Stand back up. I stood up and we keep talking for a little bit and I sat back down. He goes, Hey, it's a police safety issue. Get off the ground like I stood up, but you're lot safer with me down there than you are with me up here. And he's like, Are you threatening me? No, no, no. I'm not threatening. So but he got you pissed. I was, yeah, I was like, I thought you were going to. I thought you were going to pound them. I really. But yeah, I was. I mean, it was it was doing a good job. But he had a lot of help from Dana because they didn't know what buttons to push. I mean, but like I said, I had a guy that was walking my daughter. One time a guy ran up to get an autograph or whatever and knocked her down by mistake. No, that's not a big one. I'm picking her up off the ground. First words out of his mouth were, Hey man, can I get a picture? I'm like, You need to run and I need to get away from me. The only thing saving you right now is my daughter's right here. Wow, that's like, that's like on the show. Yeah, because I mean, I was like, I mean, really like, if you'd said, I'm sorry, I would, you know, O.C. OK. Yeah, OK, Matt, take it easy next time, but here you go. OK, whatever. Well, it's a crazy thing about celebrity. I see it all the time with these guys people. They don't care. They just they want what they want. And I imagine, do you ever get people who come up to you and are like, Oh, I could fight you and things like that? You know, really, I don't really have that problem very often. I mean, I'm not. The thing with me is I'm I'm not known as like a boxer because some guys think, Oh, he's just a boxer, not a street fighter, or he's just a football player, not a street fighter. Not just about, you know. But I'm known as a I'm not. Or just even just like a wrestler, not not a street fighter or just a jiu jitsu guy. But I'm not. I'm not as like a heavy handed street, bro. So most guys, that's not who they want to fight, and then to the thing is, most guys that would do that or having any fans of mine, right? Yeah, yeah. And I think that it is what it is and it's weird, little known thing, Dylan, that I bet you don't know you have an accounting degree. Is that correct? Yes, I have a degree in accounting from Cal Poly. Wow. Yeah. I mean, it is unbelievable to me. You know, it was it was really good in the beginning of the USC to like because like a lot of the guys, you know, everyone thought we were Neanderthals. So, you know, having a account to have a guy and then, you know, we had math teacher, you know, like, well, like our champions. We're like most of them, are well-educated. So it's kind of that was kind of goes against the stigma. And where you then you start out doing like bare knuckle tools? I did. I did fight bare knuckle and may before. But down in Brazil, that was a 30 one, 30 minute fight. It was pretty fun. Wow. 30 minute fight. One, 30 minute round. Wow. It's insane. Yeah. And they're not going to one that it was bare knuckle groin strikes were legal headbutts, elbows, hair stops, whatever. And you couldn't. I think you couldn't grab the ropes and you couldn't. I mean, I remember the first few things you can do, but that was about it. So, Chuck, I know you got a wrestling background. You got jujitsu. Is that what you are wrestling? I was a kickboxer. And at what point did you decide, Hey, maybe I want to make a living at this and I'm going to start getting? Well, I was. I started with kickboxing. I kind of fell into kickboxing and I just thought it'd be. And it sounded like more fun than getting a real job. So like, I felt I finished school, actually finish school and started kickboxing, and I finish school just to finish it cause I started it. I like to finish things I started. I only had a couple of quarters left, so I went ahead and finished, finished doing it and never planned on getting a real job. So. And then right when I was about to turn to getting a real job, I got a guy that this guy Nick, one kicker from Vegas, offered me, Hey, you know, if my friend Alvey, who knows him, is obviously a pretty good wrestler. If you want to do mix fight, I want to fight in his show and in Vegas, like open and striking fight and knocked the guy out. And then they asked me, someone, I you want to fight in the UFC. I'm like, Yeah, but at this point is not real money. So I got a thousand bucks for my first UFC. Wow. Four fight in that 30 minute fight in Brazil, I got sick. I got 1000 to show and three more thousand for winning. Wow, I got four thousand for twenty five minutes. So when you started, man, so when you started fighting, though, you didn't really realize, Hey, I might make some money, be on The Simpsons, be honored. You're like, I'm just like all the crazy things I've done. I never, never cease to amaze me. The crazy things I've gotten to do. I mean, I know, like I said, I got to be on my favorite show. I got to be on The Simpsons. It's crazy. I was like, you know, like I was on The Simpsons myself, actually. I just show dogs I didn't know. I didn't even know until today. So both of you was fun, man. They were so cool over there. Oh yeah, I think I would do a reading of another one, like a cold reading like that when they first do it and watching Hank Azaria do a bar scene was hysterical. I got back and forth between voices. Wow. I was like, Wow, he's unreal. Like watching him really go. That's awesome. So, Chuck, we got a special guest here. Kevin is unfortunately sick. That's why he's not here, but he wanted to call in for this, and Chuck has a story that I don't know that Connolly somehow inspired the show. I don't even know you guys. See how you feel, bro. Hey, how's it going, man? I'm good. How are you doing? I'm in my closet. This is actually the only place we record quality audio. Now you get to come out of the closet. We knew that it happened. Is the story I'm thinking about. Yeah, it's pretty funny. So I love to hear how you remember it. Look, I wish I were at the light. I think we might even been at the same table because I think we knew the same guy that I was at a table there in Vegas, right? Is that Vegas in the same area? But we were in. I was in the bathroom being, he's star. Hey, hey, Chuck, you're coming on set next week. So you've been working on your lines. I said, No. Oh man, you got a lot of lines. Oh, Mike, you think I'm an idiot? I my mind. I'm like, I also, there's barely anything on there like this motherf**ker that he just he just sort of like, you just tell me I got like, I can't remember lines, you know, I'm like, I'm like, OK, all right. But for me, like he, I found out I. So I called my manager to say, Hey, man, can I get the script? I need to know what I'm doing there. And he sent it, and I actually, if I hadn't done that, I would have. I mean, I would have struggled bad. But so Connelly kind of saved you. But that's what made them like. What you thought I might put this guy through the bar where he's like, You know, I'm not that I don't have that kind of temperament, but like, I think I was like, What the f**k are? Say I'm Steve Connolly. What do you remember? Well, the funny thing is I. And we were in Vegas, we were at a long craps table, and Chuck and Leo were at the far end of the craps table and I could see Chuck kind of telling Leo the story and Leo is kind of kind of laughing. And he was looking at me like, Dude, you got to hear this. And Chuck comes around the table. I'm like everything immediately. I'm like, Is everything OK? And you're like, No, I was just telling. I was just telling me how I almost beat you up in the bathroom. So what are you? What are you talking about? And you're like, told him that that, yeah, he thought I was f**king with him. I was like, Yo, you better. You better hit that strip study those lines. You got a lot to do. And he kind of looked at me. I remember him looking at me, but but he did not. Yeah, right. Oh yeah, I know. And for me, if I if you hadn't done that, I would have. I mean, I would have been. I would have followed my fate plays. I that. I mean, to be tough. You saved me. I was like, I I'm glad. I glad it didn't hurt you. To be honest, when I watched it, when I watched yesterday, I actually couldn't believe how much stuff you had to do. Not that I don't know, because I wouldn't think you were capable of it before you did it. Like, it's just not a smart thing to give an athlete that much s**t to do, but you actually killed it. I mean, you had a lot of the reactions were just tricky. Like, you're putting, you're about to choke the guy out and you spot me and you do this double take, which is amazing. You see me like, throw the guy inside. Amazing. Amazing reaction. Oh, I just tricky. That's hard for that, you know? You know what's funny? So now the second time, you know, we had Mark Cuban on the show and Mark Cuban was saying the same thing that when Doug called them, he thought like, Oh, well, it's a cameo, what I'm going to do. I'm going to walk and I'm going to say one or two things and same thing. He didn't realize that, you know, Dog is giving out all like real roles. So two things I'm glad that you didn't beat me up, and I'm glad I got that message across to because do you guys remember how hard that day was? That was the last day was that it was the longest day ever. You know, the other thing, though, too, like I was leaving, I got I got wrapped and I was leaving and they I don't know what, what craft services you guys had, but they had when I was a prime rib. Like, he's almost ready. I mean, I'm telling he's I'm telling you, it's worth stand for and I'm like, Wow, all right, I'll wait. And it was the best prime rib ever. Oh, nice. I was like, You know, you're going late when they're serving you prime rib at like three o'clock in the morning. That was, they call that second meal. I'll sit back and listen. I just wanted to make sure that Chuck tells you guys the story because I always think this is funny. The time where where they they paid you to go to Japan for like some kind of, you know, like a showcase and there was a bunch of people there and you really weren't fighting and you felt bad and you dragged your team it out there and you beat them up to show me what happened. Oh no. It was like they weren't doing much, and so many people showed up and it was actually in the Philippines. And I'm like, I you know, I'm like, We're out in the rain, just kind of talking and it's like 4000 people here. Like, I got to see something as Abraham put your gloves on training gear. I was training and still trained as I was out there. Let's go. We're going to spar for a little bit for these guys. When I was part, everybody was like, what? I just beat the s**t. Yeah, well, he beat the s**t out of his fight. He's like, Yeah, we got to give these people their money's worth. Strap up, let's go. I'm going to beat you up to two rounds. It was fun. So chuck fun for you. Hilarious. Yeah. I mean, it's it's a good memory for him to maybe not that day, but now look back story. He looks back at his looks back and is a good thing. So we're all fight fans now. As I said, these guys were fight fans before I was, I mean, UFC, I really got into it from you. I was, I was saying before Kevin got on, but you know, everybody online just wanted to talk about Ortiz and Randy Couture. And you know what? Who was your toughest opponent? I mean, that's hard to say. I fought. Almost everybody is good in my weight class back then. I mean, Randy was always a he was a stud at heavyweight. He was a great fighter, great. And it was hard to figure out, you know, Guy's guy. He had to really. So I mean, if I had to pick one, I mean, it's going to be randy. But yeah, you know, there's a lot of good guys out. And did you go into these fights? Is there nerves? Are you scared at all? Is it? I got my nickname, The Iceman, because that's not one of the things that I worry. I don't really worry about it. I'm almost like a robot when I don't, I'm not. I think emotion clouds judgment. So I tell Dylan. So, so maybe you said I was going to say, Dog, did you hear him? I remember you said you got I'll never tap out. I'll just because if they're going to choke the hours, pass out artichoke, I understand to a choke. Yeah, mean tapping to like to think you're getting elbowed or you're getting in your elbow pops or your knee bobbed your ankle? Yeah, those are injuries that you might not come back from. Yeah. And there's a point when you know you're not going to get out of it and you can't let them break your arm for stride or you're going to come back and fight another day. That's that's a good point. You're talking about choking. I mean, you're going out. I mean, I'm going to wake back up and you'll be fine. It's not going to kill you. If I can think that if I can take the top, I can think to try to get out. And so you can consciously why you're being choked out. You know what, if I get if I go out, I'm out, but I'm going to keep going. I remember even back in wrestling, I'd be in a headlock and I go out the wrong way and get out and there's a way to get out that way. But I'd stand up and I'm seeing stars. I can tell, you know, I almost choked myself out just getting out, but I want you out and I've been inside and the chill has been inside the choking and pop out in the back. I hope I can't. I hope it gives me a couple of seconds to think as I can see them. Well, it's crazy to me. I don't. I can't even comprehend it. So you got any more fight questions anybody. And then we can talk more entertainment. Yeah, Tito, like you guys are good friends, you guys, we gather right at the beginning. No, that was his story. Like, we train together. I mean, I mean, I didn't have anything against him. I didn't. Yeah, yeah. But I actually came down to him to work out and kind of a friend of mine met him and was was helping him out with some jujitsu stuff. And then I came down. Albert's a sparring partner, and I was part and part about 10 times the problem he had with me as he could not wrestle me. He couldn't beat me in jujitsu and he couldn't beat me in striking and training. I beat him and everything. So he's had to think of a reason not to fight me when it came time to fight me. Yeah, maybe you look back. Like, even after I fought Vito, I got in the ring and said it was going to kick my a*s after he's done with Ken. But when he beat Ken, all of a sudden it was like, Oh, I know what paid, and I forgot to go fight and tried. Maybe I don't know when he's like, you start making excuses why he was going to fight me and wouldn't find me. All right. So entertainment wise, I mean, is this true? You were in the postman always rings twice. Is that possible? Jack Nicholson 1981 I mean, someone said that I'm like, Yeah, I know it was funny because I've never said anything to anyone but I. But I was talking to this girl. My kickboxing still used to run our kickboxing side, and she talked to me when she put it saying, I will said that put that is a credit that I was in, that she thought it was funny. You're not in it. I am in it. I am. I got kicked out from behind the bar from by Jack Nicholson, actually. Wow. I'm there for a second. You can see. Why were you there? Did you want to be an actor? What? No, I think I was in. I just went to go join a Boy Scout troop and they were having Boy Scouts, so they decided to come and they recruited this true. The day I happened to show up to start, the day I started the troop was that we went and then they said it was a day off up and standing as a shooting. And we I lived in Santa Barbara and I think I got thirty three dollars, which at that time was a lot for, especially for a little kid. Yeah, but you worked with Jack Nicholson and I was working with Jack. Yeah. And someone put it in my in, our in our in a blog or something. And I was like, I watched that whole movie. He wasn't in it. I look here, moron, and he didn't have a mohawk or a goatee yet. Yeah, he gets kicked out from behind the bar scene. Just watched the past to watch if it's a food fight and there's a food fight, and I got kicked out from behind the bar. I'm shocked. Have you seen that Connolly is a big movie guy you've seen? The postman always rings twice, right? Anjelica Houston, Jessica Lange right now. Jessica Lange. You watch the social club. Jessica Lange, Jessica Lange. All right. She was hot back then. Yeah, my my mom said it starred Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange's crotch. That's what it was. All very sexual movie. I don't know. Monologue she she wouldn't let us watch it when she wouldn't watch it ahead of time to skin is rated R and say, No, I'm not going to see it. And then who would think that this crazy fighting career would bring you back to doing entertainment stuff yet to hit reality show, obviously? And Simpson's entourage? Do you like doing this stuff? Oh yeah, I learned to like it. I mean, it's it's it's interesting to me like learning how to make give a like. Actually, I use I use it all the time for a guy taught me how to do like for like auditions. Like how do you get like get a motion buying of like a scene? I don't know. I don't even know what's going on the ring lines. Right? Right. So well, think of what it is supposed to feel and think about something that makes you feel that way and then deliver the lines, right? So I took that and I am, you know? You know, everyone's always watching to do a stare down. So, yeah, I want to give them a legit stare down. So I think of somebody I don't like or something that makes me angry when I give people a stare down nine out of 10 times, guys got mad and I was wrong. I was wrong, but you gave me the stare down I got. I was going to say, Who would you hire for doing? I usually I see him. That's how I felt that the urinal. That's how I felt. And we also got away. We got Dave Percolator, our cinematographer who shot the film. He's in the booth and plays the Kevin Connolly over there, and Burkle said something f**king stupid to chuck while he was on the set, do you remember? But that, for me, is me being funny, right? Because if someone does that, I one up the joke. Like, if they're making a joke, I'm assuming he's joking because I mean, every I actually, though on the ultimate fighter, I did have someone do that. I had this guy come in and that was Kenny. Florian was fighting. Yeah, and the guy that was rapping a hands up was late, and they wouldn't let me wrap his hands. Now, remember, this is a fight that's going to happen, and it's going to be filmed and shown three months later. So there's no rush, right? Runner comes in and goes out there in five minutes I'm on, we're going to be it's going to be about 20 minutes. He's just getting he's just got his right hands after we got him warmed up. You know, he's he's going to be about 20 minutes, so we'll get to him ready to go. I got it. Get him out the f**k out there right now. I stood up with the to say to me, But you just say he's like. Like, he runs out and he goes and gets a producer. The second idea, whatever, she came in and she starts screaming at me, Look, I hear you, b***h, you hired me to be this guy's coach. I'm going to protect him like he's one of mine. So if you don't, if you don't like it, you got about. He's going to be running about 20 minutes. If you don't like that. Go ask him who? I want to fire me, are you? Good luck with that. Because I mean, it was, you know, Dana Dana Lorenzo the guy. Yeah, we go out angel runs where they want to fire me or, you know, know me, and they've got long after. Don't get me wrong, we got she understood me better. I look, these are real fighters. I mean, it's. You understand reality show. I get that you can do. I'll do whatever you need me to help you make a reality show. Good, accept that. Risk my fighters help, right? Like, I'm not going to not protect the fighters. I don't care what you say and that would be you have to force me to not chuck at the end of a fight. You would do that stance that I love with you. Got it? Arms back, chest screaming. Yeah, when did that first happen? And you know this like accidental or just more accidental? I had I had a guy, a guy who told me that, and you need to have some kind of signature thing when you went, Yeah. And I never even thought it was. I'm not creative. I don't think anything. I don't think anything. And that came out just the first time I went after. After I'd heard that I was thinking about it and I had never thought of doing it. And just that's what came out. And I was, that's cool and stuck with me, and that's that's been my thing forever since. So, yeah, yeah, I love it. So, so on the entourage that we got our cinematographer, Dave Grohl, he decided to like, open his mouth for you and Dave Dave, just jump him. What did you say to Chuck? No, I thought, Well, you know, we were doing a comedy and we're all relaxed and we're in the ring and chuck, you know, there's a lot of things going on, and I know it's his first time in a big scene and I go, Hey, Chuck, if you don't get on your mark, I'm going to come over there. And something in his eyes switched looked right at me. And he gave me that stare. I guess you've now you're telling me you've rehearsed this thing, but it works excellent because I cowered down. I looked around and there was nobody else to help me, and I was like, You could stand wherever you want. Do you remember that, Chuck? Yeah, I remember. But there was you couldn't had enough help. You had enough help there if they wanted to. But but it's almost like when you're in a cage with a lion and they have the tranq gun. How long does that track? Actually, you know what a great thing they'll circle who is, actually? I don't mean that he would have been a competition, but he's a strong guy who carries the cameras, right? Could you have filmed still, if Chuck was beating the s**t out of you, Dave, would that have worked or what? Know when he's a classic plasma plus, the guy who was fighting was one of my guys too. So yeah, he was cool. What was his name again? Scott, lady? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he was a fighter. Oh yeah, he's a fighter. Was when my it was when my sparring partners for years and he came on and yeah, really tough guy. Really good fight. He was cool, a good dude. And I was I was still, I just starting to train, so I was that was kind of one thing that I didn't want some guy that didn't know what I'm doing or know how not to hurt me. Yeah, you know, I don't because I didn't know. And if I don't know the guy, I don't know. Of course, sometimes guys think they know what they're doing and don't. Do you remember who the girl was in the truck when it was playing? Your daughter was your daughter? No, no, it wasn't my daughter because I thought, maybe 'cause sometimes we do stuff like that. Well, that's a pretty good daughter. So how was the reaction afterwards? Did you get a good reaction from people like, Oh, it was amazing. Everyone thought it was crazy and it went from. I had a whole new set of fans, but it was like because there was like people that knew me as a fighter that was on entourage. And then the people that knew me was just, Oh, you're really, you're really a fight. You were right. I know you're really a fighter. I saw you on entourage. I thought it was cool, but you're really you're real, you know, and that was like Sasha Grey. People were literally like, she's a real porn star. I'm like, Well, you could google it. But yeah, so yeah. But yeah, it was. I mean, I got there all yelling, Hey, you guys go, I still get that. I got I hear that somewhere, and I got to say it makes me smile every time I always turn around. Yeah, I guess you got guy, man. And then it was Chuck's kids. The show beat people right. Shocks kids, people, right? You know, we actually we thought about what know we should do a charity with that. And I looked at we looked it up. But it was already it was already there was already one. There was a really do Christmas presents for kids or something. Couple of the fan questions that people asked online, but, you know, obviously you were a fan of the show. Was there something personal? Thomas Matthew wants to know, Did did you have a crew like this growing up? Did you have a group of friends or work? But there's a lot of a lot of similarities, and I brought along a lot of my friends and then we have like group like my. My brother worked for me and I mean, we always do good s**t and I get a new paintball guy and be like, Hey, Dan, run eco ship, you know, stuff like that. But like a lot of those things. And it was fun. Like, I mean, the show was real, you know, it was a fun show to go watch and it was enjoyable and it's cool. While we're glad, we're glad you watched it for sure and feel tech, these people have such crazy names online. Is it possible to liberate it but fairly pick a bride wants to know what was your most memorable win in the UFC? You know, I get asked that a lot and the hardest. The probably the most memorable one is when I beat Randy for the title the first time. My first time I won the title, it was it was. After the ultimate fighter. Everything was exploded, like we went from. I think we had it since I've been fighting. There had been over 100000 views yet PPV buys and we did almost 400000 after that and it was a rematch. So we got a rematch. He beat me, I got to avenge a loss and I got to do it with the first round knockouts is the way I wanted to do it, the way I love fighting. So it's awesome. And Troy's story wants to know what it was like being in Big Brother. You know, people are complaining, Oh man, we're inside, can't get out. I'm really like, we're getting paid to sit here and do nothing. I don't think I've been able to. It's was kind of nice to actually not have to do anything for a few days. And can you train at all or not? Yeah, they added that weight room, they had that place to work. I could work out. I mean, we goof around, did some stuff. But yeah, it was. It was not me. I don't know. It's not horrible. I mean, it's just you're playing a game, I guess, and you're playing the, you know, the thing I found out afterwards is the only thing I thought, cause I'm not real good at that manipulating people kind of thing. So I didn't think I was that much of a chance at that part, but I thought my thing would be other the challenges. But then I found out afterwards that they they made them physically easier for everyone because the cast was older and not not in great shape. So excited to make it a lot easier than the normal Big Brother. I'm like, Oh, I thought I was the one that was one thing I was counting on being able to do it. And then, like the one, that first thing we did was to hold on to that thing. It adds like foam bottoms, right? So me and Metta World Peace, our bottoms were like this, right? So like when I let go, it was because my inner thighs were about what nothing else was hurting, except with my inner thighs. Like, I'm squeezing my inner thighs. I'm like, If this tears right now, I'm just not going to be good. So I'm like, Oh, I guess I'm good, I'm going to last for much longer. But overall, it was relatively fun. It was fun. I mean, you got to talk to a lot of interesting people. I mean, I've met a lot of people on the show that they got great and, you know, they got crazy stories and it was a lot of fun to kill killer. So, so what do you think of these fights going on now, these Tick-Tock fighters with professional fighters? What's your thoughts on that Tick-Tock fighters? Well, whatever you are, you have no, no. I get it. But you know, I'm actually doing a guest commentating on a bare knuckle fight Friday night. But real fighters, though, are so there's a couple of real fighters. And then then there's like, there's there are it's it's a marketing thing is already scheduled to Typekit on there. They want to pay me enough money of, I'll fight it out, fight any of those. And would you? You have money. I mean, I mean, obviously to me, Floyd, you know, held them up and made sure it didn't end, would you? I mean, when you're fighting, are you able to kind of half a*s? I mean, I don't know. I don't know that I want to have as I don't know that I want to do an exhibition. I mean, unless it's with someone, I mean, I'll do an exhibition like Tyson an hour or one of those guys that I wanted to do, Roy Jones. I mean, those other guys that I looked up to as a boxer, they were amazing. They want to pay enough money to go, go a few rounds with those guys. No problem. I mean, I did. But I mean, that's what you got to understand. If it says the exhibition underneath it, it's an exhibition, right? I mean it. I mean, if they they want to get mad at each other and try to hurt each other, they can. But if they don't, they don't have to do that either. How did you think Mike Tyson looked in that fight? I look great. I thought I told him. I thought, Yeah, he looked amazing. I thought I could hurt him. What I what I was disappointed with was actually the walk out of that fight because I was I was. I thought I knew it was going to be an exhibition. I didn't think I didn't think they were. Try to knock each other out, right? I was hoping you always hope a little bit, but I was hoping. But I was looking forward to at least the walkout, right? Old school Tyson Walk. Because I mean, that was when I was growing up watching. That was always, man, that was that was exciting sometimes and sometimes more exciting than a fight to go on. They're not guys pretty quick, but I thought I thought he could have hurt them. I mean, it felt like might look like he was getting mad that he was tired. It was tired, I thought I was going around like, Come on, man, let's give him a show like this. So how do you I mean, just how do you think you'd do today if you got him with Mike? I know it's an exhibition, but how do you know, OK, it's boxing? I mean, Mike should be. I mean, he's he's a with a best boxer all the time to me. But I mean, we fight on the street, right? I'll beat him. I mean, he's not going to stop me from taking it. He's got one shot and I went out, there is Tyson. He does have one shot in the way it catches me, right? It's going to be good tonight. But but that being said, I get past that. It's over. You get to take a body like, I don't get any of that. It's over. Once you hit the ground, he's not going up and straight up boxing. No, no fear. You're like, Yeah, I'll go with your striker. I mean, one of the greatest citizen and straight up boxing, I'll fight anybody. I mean, I mean, I like Connolly. I always and I always. I always have a chance. I mean, I've got I mean, I've got a positive chance against anybody. Oh yeah, I hit hard enough to hurt anybody. So, you know, worst case scenario, I do have a bunch of chance and I've got my here and I could shot chance of landing it. You know, I love it. Maybe we could get a victory promotion if we get Chuck and Mike Tyson in because I was, I mean, I don't want to see anyone get hurt, but I would love to see it. Could you talk about shot against the three of us? Yeah, I mean, I don't want to be McConnell. I'm past my prime. But hey, so Chuck, one of the other things, Doug, I don't know if you guys ever saw this, but have you ever seen Chuck Liddell do stand up comedy? What? No, Chuck. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. And it was a Jeff Ross that was, I'm David Spade. Wait, what is this a real thing? So what they do is they send they send people on the stage with an earpiece and they feed you jokes to pay off the crowd and Chuck hit an upper deck. Moon shot was. So it was so fun, and they didn't tell you to tell me what I was going to say at all. What do you mean? Wow. Someone wrote the material. They put it in my ear. So David Spade and whoever whoever the coach is, but somebody super funny might have even been like Tina Fey or somebody somebody crazy. They would go out and feed big person jokes. They can't prepare. They just walk out on stage. And so you crowd deliver. We're just coming out to try out our new set. That's amazing. And it's obviously online. We can see this. Yeah, yeah, I was I was shy, so I got to check that out. There it was. It was weird. It's not a fun. And you know, to be honest, that I always told people, I don't really like the fame I don't like. I don't really like the entertainment part of it. I just like, you know, doing my stuff. But I actually enjoyed being out in front of people performing and entertaining. So I I think that really taught my top myself that I really liked. I really do like performing, you know, I mean, you're great and the fact that you don't have that fear, which I don't know if it changes in standup, I did stand up and honestly, it terrified me. Like, I can't imagine fighting you. But but instead of terrified me, you know, it changes anything that like anything out of my out of my lane. It's a little, you know, it's it gets a little hard and it's not easy. But I I still I enjoyed it and I like being out there. I saw some chocolate, you know he did. He did a great like, three minute set. And it looked like in the if you look at the people in the audience, they had no idea they were like, Wow, this is comedy saying it was good. I can't. I can't wait to watch it and chuck. I can't thank you enough for coming in, for doing the show and and for signing on Kevin Bill and Kevin Connolly, Doug Allen to the Mike Tyson chocolate bar fight. We're going to take a piece of that box office because that would be I made it because I believe that would be a great fight. I mean, yeah, we're going to walk him out. We're going to walk him out and give you a good. It's quite possible. Chuck, thank you so much for coming in. Yeah. Thanks, Chuck. Thanks for having me, guys. It's a pleasure and thanks, buddy. Run it back soon, and maybe we'll get this fight going. All right, welcome back back to the podcast, I mean, what a great guy. He's the best. He was great, but he's always been one of my favorite cameos. You such a good guy and you know, he's one of those guys. He's one of those guys. Connell, you misjudge like you might. You might not think he's as tough as he is. So nice. Oh God. Well, I got to tell you, we we laugh about that story. But when I heard that I was a little disturbed, I'm not going to lie. I'm actually I'm actually serious. I just was like, what? Like, what? What do you mean? He thought you were f**king with them. He thought I was fake weatherman, insinuating that he was like dumb and couldn't remember, like two lines or whatever. But I remember I had gotten the script earlier that day and I was like, Damn chuckle, there's got a bunch to do. I was making urinal small talk. By the way, you might you might have saved the episode because I really was watching it today, going, I can't believe how much stuff we gave him to do, and it was great. He was great. That stuff in the ring. He had a lot of tricky stuff in that ring scene and he killed it. Absolutely killed it. What do you guys think about the fight between Tyson and Chuck? I mean, street fight. You know, the weird thing about Street Tyson's kind of a friend of ours, and so is Chuck, and I hate to see anyone involved. I hate to see anyone get hit anymore. I really do. But I would like to see that fight much more than I would like to see Tyson and an undersized Roy Jones that I thought is going to kill him. I would like to see this fight. I think Chuck hit it on the head, though, which is fair to say. It's like, Look, Tyson's is one of the best boxers ever. Tyson's got that one. Chuck is going to lunge at him. Tyson's got one shot to drop him and have Chuck wraps his arms around him. I think Tyson would agree with you. I mean, that's what Chuck does, right? A great wrestler. And yeah, yeah. But Tyson Tyson would never fight him if there wasn't a straight boxing. Obviously, quite well. Then I get it. So they're not going to pull a rocky five and go out and buy my rings outside. All of a sudden, Chuck Liddell gives a roundhouse kick that doesn't. Well, anyway, that was great. It's good to be bad at Barclays. Catherine back, guys, Casey, we hope everybody's feeling OK over there. And that was great and can hope you in the family. The baby, everybody's doing OK, so we will talk soon. And that wraps up another episode of Victory, the podcast. I'm Doug Allen, Kevin Dillon Victory, and I'm Kevin Connelly in the closet. Come out of the closet, finally plan to play here again. There's a flag and cash easy partnership with the.
