And action. Happy Thursday, happy December. Happy to be here. Woo. Happy December. I don't like it. I don't like it. It makes me scared. I really don't. I love it. No. Usually, I would love it, but, like, that means my wedding is, like, really coming up. And woah. Like, I know I get on here and say that every week, but, like, it's literally December. I know. I just had my bridal shower. Like, I feel like it's it's, like, it's go time. It's fun time. You've been waiting 3 year or no. How old is v? You literally got engaged when v was 2 weeks old. It's been 9 god. Yeah. No. Like, never forget. Never forget. But, like, you've been waiting, like, 19 months for this. Yeah. Like, it's it's it's, like, here. Like, it's fun. It's on the horizon. Oh my god. Yeah. And guess what's happening today? What? I'm going to the courthouse to get legally married. So, like, I'm legally gonna be married in the next 7 hours here. Oh, that's kind of a big deal. I know, but, you know, I we're gonna do it in the church too after the wedding, but, like, we just wanted 7 weddings. No. Like, pretty much. For the girl who didn't even want 1. Well, if we there's all this stuff with, like, the marriage lice like, I have to be the Cabo wedding's gonna be, like, fake. Like, it's Oh, I know. Are real, obviously. Because you can't get married out of the whatever. Yeah. So I'm going today to the what do you call it? Yeah. I went down there. I I went I know exactly what it is. I went yeah. And Who's your witness? My witness is my friend, Coco, but she's gonna take photos of us. She's a photographer. So it's just me and Bobby, really. I can't low key kind of crazy, like, your mom's gonna flip. No. No. No. She knows. Everybody knows. I didn't invite anybody though. Not a secret. I didn't invite anybody. This is the one thing I wanted, just me and Bobby. Like and my ring is being reset. You're gonna think this is either really cute or stupid. My ring is being reset in Saint Louis, and so I'm wearing just, like, I'm not I don't have my ring to, you know, take to the courthouse. How many times can I say courthouse? And I was freaking out, but I was looking through my jewelry, like, box, and I found the promise ring Bobby gave me when I went when we first started dating, and it's a little thin gold 3 prong. Like, we got it on the side of the street in SoHo, and he was like, here. Like, do you want this? Like, you can wear it on your little. It wasn't ever like, oh, this is a promise ring, like, you know Yeah. But it was kind of like that. And so I'm like, oh my god. This is like the first gift he ever gave me, first piece of jewelry, so I'm gonna wear it. Yeah. Over 8 years ago. Wow. He gave me that ring, and I still have it. Piece of junk, but I love it. I mean, it's literally from the side of the street. You know what I mean? No. No. No. Oh, wow. That's kind of like a moment. Nothing to wear, so I'm gonna try and find something in Zara. I see that they've got a long faux fur coat. A long white. They have one in white, but then they have one in, like, a beigey color. I don't know. Like, I'm I don't know if I'm gonna wear white. Like, I might just wear, like, a fur coat and, like, boots and Yeah. I feel like that became more of, like, a thing. Like, when we went I mean, we didn't get married that day. We just had to go get our license. But, like, when we went down, I was hung tits. We went at, like, 9 AM because that was our appointment. I didn't look. Like, I we just went to get it and it was cold, but I feel like that's become more of a thing now is, like, a vibe and, like, a look when you go to the courthouse. Kinda wish I kinda wish I knew about that. I needed somebody else to come because we're getting married. Yeah. We're getting married. And I'm like, you know what? My friend, Coco, she's a photographer. She can take like, I want I want it documented. Like, I don't get it. Am I, like, standing in front of a judge? Like, does he, like Yes. Bang the Yes. Thing? You're staying and there's gonna be, like, other people in the I know there's gonna be other people in there. Yeah. Not that I'm, like, here to start calling. Do I need to get a bouquet? If you want. I mean, you're not throwing it to anyone, but, like, if it's all, like, would you like to hold, you know like, a lot of people will be there because that is literally their wedding. So it's just like a a preference of like, I have a bouquet. Borrow somebody's bouquet. Yeah. No. I think I need to get a bouquet. How are you, like, getting out of not Jack and Trudy being there? Because I we didn't invite anybody. Like, we just You would storm the best deal if Trudy were there, invite or not. Like, I'd be waiting outside. If if I knew Becca was there, I'd be like, k. You didn't invite me, but, like, I'm here. But, actually, it wouldn't have worked anyway. If you think about this, Trudy has work, and Jack is going to Nashville. Oh, are you gonna, like, celebrate after? Like, go to a dinner? That's the thing. We don't know. So Bobby's like, let's I'll book, like, a nice dinner reservation, and I'm like, okay. Where? But then I'm like, you know, we could go to our 1st date spot in New York. Oh, that's great. That's a great idea. It's to come be in Nolita. I'm like, we could go there. No. That's a really good idea. I don't know. Like, just recreate our first night. No. That's a really cute idea. Okay. Well, I'll let you know what we do. I have to find something to wear today. Oh, well, fun. So That's exciting. Well, actually by the time you're listening to this I'm I'm getting married on Thursday. Today's Wednesday. So I'm doing this tomorrow, but I have to find something to wear. Okay. Well, looks like you're gonna hit the ground running after this. Yes. I am. But so that's me. I need to speak to you about Toronto. Yeah. That happened. That was wild. I love everything. I I love it there. I love the people there. I love our gals there. I wanna live there. Like, I love it there. I love it there. It was a blast. It was I'm so glad I went. Taylor round 2 is is unbelievable. Unbelievable. Seeing it with my gals, I don't know. It was different. Also, might I add, when I saw her the first time, I was 3 months postpartum. I had Cicely in the hotel room waiting for me. They're just different. I forgot about that. Wow. It was unreal. And, like, I said this on our stories and, like, I'm sorry to you if you haven't seen her, but, like, I don't know what to tell you. Like, go see her. You're running out of time. I know. No. You quite literally are. She has 3 shows left in Vancouver. Unbelievable. And the people's comp Vancouver? What is Vancouver? Other side. So, like, Toronto's above you. Vancouver's, like, for the other gals. Like, if I lived in LA and I were in this scenario, I'd be going to Vancouver. So Taylor was out and about in New York last night. I'm just thinking, like, in terms of how far is her flight gonna be. Not I mean, I don't know how fast the jet goes. You know? I mean, definitely fast, but I don't know. She's gotta like this way. Else would she be going? Like, just a shower. Midday. Maybe 4 over 4. Wow. What were your surprise songs? Remind me. Okay. My surprise songs were I know you had, should have said no. No. I did not. No. I did not. Mine weren't bad. They weren't bad, but they were not that. Better Than Revenge. Oh, that sorry. That that's what I which was exciting because both of my songs were from, I think, Spinked Down and Red. Or k. What were the other ones? I don't remember. I should've looked this up. I was really drunk. I should preface that. Are you happy with your drinking? Are you annoyed? Happy. Okay. Happy. This is what when I imagine Taylor going hold on. What night did I go? Taylor Swift Toronto night. Six surprise songs. Right? Sorry. Did you just ask chat gpt? No. I asked. Okay. Sarah, you guys, I've been using chat gpt, and it's like, oop. Scaly. I don't. Becca does, or maybe I just so easy. I just typed in, like, last night. Maybe I just I typed in, hey. Can I wear jeans to the Polo bar? And they said yes, but they can't have rips. Well, yes. Well, no. That's for It was just nice. Like, I don't have a date on Google. What night did I go, you guys? You went Thursday or yeah. You went Thursday. Okay. My songs were oh, mister perfectly fine. Mister perfectly fa fa. That I was excited about. Okay? Very excited. I had mister perfectly fine, which led into a better than revenge, and then I had state of grace and labyrinth. I was not not I didn't care because I was so enthralled with my first set. Yeah. Yeah. That's fine. I went and reupped my vodka during that. That's fine. Wow. Okay. So Better Than Revenge used to rip that song all the time in her, you know, Taylor's version. Yeah. She changed the lyric. I know. I I'm sorry. I know. She's a flame to a moth and a mattress. Whatever it is. It used to be, she's been known for the things that she does on the mattress. Okay. Woah. You like, that didn't bother me. Everybody's like, well, no. It's like, you can't, like, say that about other women. Okay. I'm like, okay. It it was it was a delight. And then did we did on Instagram live. Did I? Absolutely. Did did I? Oh, yes. You did. It was the night of your shower. We did a yeah. We absolutely did. Was I on that? Longer than probably expected. What was I saying? I don't know. It was at the end just literally all came rushing back to me. Yeah. It was at the end of our night. She was about to get hangxiety 3 weeks later. It was at the end of our night. I was walking out also, like Well, nobody said anything to me about it. So No. It wasn't. We were just having a good time. I also wanna mention I'm, like, I don't know if I can come on here and ever give him the time of day, but, like, honorable mention, round of applause for Ty texting me mid concert saying, like because our flight was the next morning. We had to texting me mid concert saying, like because our flight was the next morning. We had to leave at 6 AM. And so that was kind of putting a mild damper on just, like, me as a whole because, you know, I had to prep my anxiety airport. Not him texting me in the middle of the concert. Hey. I changed our flight. Extended the hotel room. We're going to see Sebastian tomorrow night. Oh, oh, no. Like, literally, I'll give him a BJ. No. So literally, then your girl was absolutely unhinged. I'll have another drink. And it was the perfect I think I texted you this. I wasn't hungover, weirdly enough. I think because it was, like, an earlier night. Oh, I stayed till the end. I watched all of Midnight. Nice. Happy for you. Don't you love be not bejeweled, Mastermind? Yeah. It was, yeah, it's I remember you being excited about that. Honestly, for me, it's always gonna be, like, what is Cicely like? So I was very excited over karma. Karma. It was just things like that. Did you show Cicely videos? Of course. I was sending them to my mom saying show her tomorrow because Cicely was saying, mommy, I wanna see Taylor Swift. Mommy, I wanna see because I kept telling her I'm going. So I sent her I did, like, the zoom out of shake it off. I videoed, like wait. If Taylor, goes on tour again, I mean, it's not gonna be what she's doing now, but in the next couple years, we we're taking Cicely. Yeah. We definitely like, she'll be there by then. Maybe I'll have a newborn. I'll take a newborn. Oh, good to know. No. No. No. We'll definitely be doing that. But Sebastian was just what I needed for the next day because it was cold. I was the God, Sarah. Ty and I rolled in. I had no makeup on. I had my cozy sweater with my scarf. Like, we sat. We had popcorn, and we pissed our pants laughing. It was just There's nothing there's no greater hangover cure than a laugh than a laugh. Truly. No. I know. I wanna know if there's, like, a study behind it because I've had specific moments where the second I started laughing with Jack and Bobby, I'm like, oh, I'm not hungover anymore. I love Sebastian. Bobby doesn't. Bobby can't stand him, and it, like, really bothers me. Oh, I could see that really bothering you, but I could also see really good. I could understand why he would rub somebody the wrong way. It's like you either, like, love him. Oh, I'd love. Same. Oh my I I tried to get Ty to buy me merch. He makes good hoodies. My dad has a hoodie. It's like a big gray oversized Italian, like, thing. When are we going to see when are we going to see Theo Vonn? Okay. Listen. When can we see Theo Vonn? Me and you, we must go. I know you have recently explained to me about this kind of love affair, infatuation you're having with him, and I'm on board. So we'll go. Okay. Well, I I literally looked up on his website. He's not gonna he's gonna be in San Antonio. Shut up. I swear to God. I swear to God he's gonna be in San Antonio in, like, April. Like, do I do we go to San Antonio? Do you make a trip? That's funny. Yeah. See, that would be something that I need a little more fine tuning. I'm not, you know, you'll send me his reels and I get it. I don't know about a whole show, so I'd need to practice, like, my laughing with I need to understand him a little more. Okay. I mean Wait. He has a why don't you and Ty watch his stand up on Netflix? He has Okay. That's something that we could do. That's a good place to start. Also, since you brought that up, I believe Sebastian is filming this, not at heart, but he's filming this one for Netflix, and it is so oh my god. Oh, but that, you know, that kinda sucks, though, when you see that because then the special is ruined. Because I can only watch a comedy special one time. Like See, not me. Because I laugh at the same part every time. Well Yeah. I can I can especially Sebastian, I can rewatch? I also think he did a lot because he once he found out Taylor was there, he had a lot of Swifty jokes, and then be because we were in Toronto, like, he had a lot of Canadian jokes. Like, I don't There's no way he keeps that there's no way he keeps that in. Yeah. So that's why whatever, like I don't know where he filmed it, but, like, it will be it will be so good. That was the meat and potatoes. Let's get like, I I don't even know how we just literally lollygagged for 15 minutes. I have so much to say, Natalie. I I feel like I'm gonna throw up. K. Go. Go. Go. Go. Okay. It's a lot of questions on my end. Okay. So, like, I'm sorry to can answer them. I know you can. So that's why I'm like, I'm sorry to those of you who care or don't care, but this is now a wicked podcast for the next 67 minutes. Who is texting me? Okay. I also wanna we've already gone over this. Right? Like, I saw Wicked when I was 15 in London. That's it. Like, I You've only ever seen it once. Once. I've seen it one time. Oh, I forgot about that. I grew up on, like, ill stick to my stomach, watching it at my grandma's house, Wizard of Oz. Okay? So, like, I've got that backstory k. Over and over again, but I really besides, like, I told you, you know, like, whenever Glee would cover it because we know I love the Glee. I knew the songs, but, like, the story was really lost on me. I made Tyga with me. Mhmm. I just I oh my god, you guys. Like, I need to just stay I don't know really where to begin. No. I'm so afraid you're gonna ask me a question I don't know right now. No. No. No. I I I I don't have, like, that many questions. I just wanna start, like, I wanna start off easy, but I also wanna kind of dissect characters piece by piece. K. Because a lot of it, I don't know if it was a movie thing or if it was an original thing. Right? So let's start with the part 1, part 2. Mhmm. I can't wait another year. How am I gonna do this? Because good things wait. What's that quote? Oh, Jesus. Good things come to those who wait. Yes. Okay. But what what is What is left? Well, so I know, like, if this is a spoiler, you guys fast forward We don't want. I mean, I genuinely wanna know because I have no idea. Now, like, I watched the movie and I was like, oh my god. Glenda's kind of like, I was I loved it that I knew nothing about it. I actually highly recommend going into it. You guys, if you know nothing about it, it's kinda better because there was nothing to be ruined for me. Right? Because I didn't have to compare it to anything. But I'm curious. What is part 2? Like, I wanna know. Part 2 is, well, it starts part 2 kinda starts with, like, a little ode to Dorothy. Like, I think you see, like, a blue dress or you see Okay. That's what I was gonna say. Shoes. You see for me. In part 2? No. No. No. No. No. Okay. So they're kind of allude to her. Okay. And okay. Then Elfie does, like, on her quote, unquote witch hunt. Okay. So she starts getting pissed at Bach because Bach pissed off Nessa, the sister, and she reeked, Fero, heard they she sings that song under the bridge with him. Fero. Uh-uh. Hold on. And then we also have For Good, which is where Glenda and Elphaba, like, fully go their separate ways. Okay. So part 2 is if I The second act of the of the the whole show. No. I know that. But what I'm saying, if I am relating it to The Wizard of Oz, there's You just know that oh, sorry. No. I'm just asking. Part 2 is probably going to be about, if I had to guess, you know, Wizard of Oz. Setting up for The Wizard of Oz. Okay. Because setting up for the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, the Lion you know, all those characters turn into Bach turns into the scarecrow. She turns Bach into a scarecrow. Oh, I didn't know this. Fierro is Tin Man. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, like, there's odes to the Wizard of Oz. Like, you're really now kinda setting it up. We're setting it up. I'm gonna put a few minutes off. Elphaba makes Elphaba makes the ruby red slippers. Okay. This is what I wanna say. If you remember correctly, I'm talking to our listeners, Wizard of Oz starts out, house falls on Wicked Witch of the East What? Who is wick who is, as we know, now Elphaba's sister. Mhmm. So shoes are on Elphaba's sister. Mhmm. Shoots come off, Glenda takes them off and puts them on Dorothy. So that's what you're setting me up for is for Elphaba's sister the house to fall on Elphaba's sister. Yeah. And you know who controlled the house falling on? The oh my god. I can't what the hell is her name? The Wizard Yo. Michelle Yo. She controls the weather. Oh, madame. Yeah. So she's like she makes the twister fall on the house. That's all I needed. I just wanted to know what I was in store for. Now we need to back it up. Yeah. Hit me. Okay. I really loved it. I wanna say that. I really loved it. 1 out of or out of 10. So Ty gave it a 9. Yeah. I saw that. I was so happy. Ty gave it a 9. I'm I knew Ty would like it. Like In these are his exact words. Wow. That was incredible. And then in the car home. Wow. I'm really glad I went to go see that with you because it's not at all what I thought. He goes it wasn't these were his words, you guys. Just ignore. He goes it wasn't all fufu and frilly. I feel like the marketing, because they have to. He thought it was gonna be, like, you know That was incredible. Sad. Yeah. It was an incredible story. And, also, might I add, the director, one of our favorite films come together is Crazy Rich Asians. That's one of our favorites. He also made the documentary, what is it? Never say never. The Justin Bieber concert documentary that I saw in theaters when I was, like, 12. Wait. That's a wild card. Yeah. Like, he's got a musical background. Of clearly. Obviously. I gave it a I need to see it again. I think I need to see it again. Oh, I'm I'm seeing it again Friday night with Bobby because I am so excited for Bobby to see it. How many times did you see it? I've only seen it once. Okay. The second text I sent you in theater, I saw Gladiator. Oh, I'll touch on that too. Okay. I mean, Bobby's whole thing, he's like, come see Gladiator with me. This is all I want, and I'll go to Wicked with you. I'm like, great. And I like Gladiator. I liked glad I like the first one. I also love Paul Mezcal. Yep. So I wanna get your opinion. Mhmm. There there was one flaw. There there was 2 characters that I was a little on, and I wanna see if you just you were a little you mean they didn't need to be in the film or you didn't like the casting? The casting. I was just like, okay. Okay. Well, that that actually will bring me to a point that I also have. So the 2 care I mean, Bach, can we just Natalie. Natalie. I don't know if it was the leaving your wife with the 1 year old or if it was the the munchkin of it all, but Natalie? I I couldn't he played a great Bach. That's, like, who Bach is. Like, he's not like this yeah. Bach's not like the stud. I wasn't the stud. I wasn't at all worried about the stud. How was he I feel like that's how the guy was in real life. He's like, oh, Glenda, I love you. And and Arianna's like, you know what? Love you too. Let's let's leave our spouses. Let's do the damn thing. I couldn't get over. I don't know. Like, none of this really bothered me. Like, in the beginning, I was like, oh my god. This is crazy because that was the rumor that he left the wife and the baby for her. The rumor. I mean, he What up? He did. Yeah. He did. But who knows what was going on before? And Oh, I'm sorry. I was album no. I know. But in Ariana's album, I like, my tune kinda changed. Like, nobody actually knows what went on. And and No. No. The fact that Ariana's album, I'm sorry, eternal sunshine did not get nominated for a Grammy is so obscene. Like Natalie, I'm not worried. She's gonna win an Oscar. No. No. No. You just give me a chill. Oh, wait. I'm all over the place. I know the artist. Oh, whatever. Welcome to the show. Yeah. I can't pick who I liked better, Elphaba or Glinda. And I will also say this, when I saw Wicked, that was not Cynthia Erivo, and that was not Ariana Grande. That was Glinda Galinda, and that was Elphaba. Like, Ariana and her superstar, like, everything that she was went out the door. This was just Glenda. Like, I had no problem separating the 2. Like, true. They were she was she was so good, and you could tell how much she trained for that role, how much she changed her dialect, her singing voice, her movement. And same with Cynthia Revo. Why is nobody talking about how amazing Cynthia Revo's American accent is? Why don't you talk to me? Accent work. Thank you for bringing that up. They didn't slip once. Not once. You guys, I will come on here every week and I will tell you how this show, I couldn't get past the accent work. I forgot this woman. I thought that she was from, like, the the the northeast. She sounded incredible. Incredible. Hold on. I have so much to say. My brain is hurting right now. You said you can't pick between the 2. Why would you have to pick between the 2? Would it isn't one considered supporting and one the main character? Okay. This is I don't know which one was the main character. Yeah. It was a lot of main character energy from both. Well, I think it should be. I think they were both the main character. Wait. I wanna who is I'm gonna Google this. Who is considered I mean, I feel like it's Elphaba. Who is considered main character? Wouldn't that be an academy thing? Like, you know, I I'm just curious, like, genuinely, like, who was number 1 on the call sheet? It had to have been Ariana. Really? Because I think she's Oh, Elphaba. Elphaba is the main character. Story. Elphaba is the main character. Yeah. I think that they are both gonna win awards. I think they were both amazing, but I wanna go back before I derailed us on the Bach thing. It was just a jump scare when I saw this man on my screen. It was just a lot of, like, Spongebob energy, and, like, I have to imagine I'm not the only one who felt that. So, no, I don't think this was for the movie. I think if anything, it hurt the movie because it was, like, we can't look away. We've seen too much. But who were the okay. Characters you said you didn't like, are you talking about one of them being Bowen Yang's counterpart, the girl? Oh, well, she didn't really talk that much. No. I when I heard Bowen Yang was in this, I was like, oh my god. Of course, because he's friends with Ariana. He was cracking me up. Yeah. Like, when he was flirting with Fierro, and he's like, yes. What do you want? Anything. I'll do it. Are those 2 in the musical, the 2 sidekicks? Yeah. Okay. But who were the I don't know who you were. Hold on. Hold on. I'm trying to hang up. It's the casting of it. Like, you'd I know you didn't like the casting. That's why I think Jeff Goldblum. I didn't really love Jeff Goldblum as a wizard. I kind of agree. And I and I love Michelle Yeoh. Natalie, I completely agree. I thought about that on my drive here before I drop Cicely off. I swear to God. I love her, and she looked the part. Like, she looked like madam Moore, but, like, she she she looked it. She did her singing voice, didn't I didn't like it, and I don't know. I I just I felt like we could have gone a million directions, but she's so pretty. Like, she's so fierce. Like, so I I understand. She's scary. Yeah. God. I'm so scared of her, and I'm even more scared of her from Crazy Rich Asians. No. No. No. Like, totally. Like oh, it was also really cute. I saw, you know, all these clips of her showing back up on back. She she won the Oscar. This, by the way, was filming when she won the Oscar. That's wild. So she comes back to set with the Oscar, and everybody's like, let's go. Like, how fun. That's cute. I don't know. And Jeff Goldblum, I like him. I do too. And but the wizard is supposed to be it's it's supposed to shock everybody. Like, oh, you think he's the best. Like, you think he's great. And, like, from the get go, and then he, like, switches on you. Like, I just he was creepy from the beginning. It was I'll say it was confusing. Right. I just felt confused. I I like him. I really like his voice. I find him really soothing. I I will say, Ty said his one of his favorite parts. It was actually really funny, and like, kinda thoughtful. He goes, I really like when they were picking out the color of the brick. I go, yeah. I kinda liked that too. That was cute. Oh, Ty. I know. I was like, oh, no biggie. I was heaving when Elfie walks in with her hat. Yeah. Oh my god. And Ariana looks at Bo and Yang, and they're like, what? Come over here. Stop. And she's like, no. No. She didn't learn that choreography on purpose because she wanted to match Cynthia's movements. So that that all and by the way, they only shot Cynthia's yeah. This part they only shot Cynthia's, you know, her takes. They they did hers first because she was the emotional one, and they only did it, like, 3 times because she said to the director, she's like, I'm not gonna be able to do this over and over again. So we gotta, like I I love you know me. I love a musical. There is a I have never met a musical I didn't love. I I I can't sing, but coming just as a I just respect the hell out of musicals when they're on TV or when they're on film. I love them even more. I was just so I'm I'm trying to think of what I give it. I mean, obviously, I think I I I really do think it's like it I gotta see it again, and I'll tell you why. I saw it late. I was checking my phone more than I should have only because the girls were sleeping, and I was getting a little tired. I only checked my phone to see what time it was twice. I didn't think it was too long. Like, sitting in there, I didn't feel like, god, this is long. I'm just trying to think. There was there was a couple moments where I was just kinda like, let's let's get going. You know, let's get going. So for that reason, I don't give it a 10, but, like, it was as 10y as it can get. I just wanna, for a moment, like, the choreography, the fact that they, like Okay. The dancing is so unbelievable to me. Jonathan Bailey. That man excuse me. Excederton. Like, holy Delectable. Delectable. But why did he have a British accent? They let him keep his accent, but maybe it's just because he's yeah. I don't even remember that. Life. Skinny fun. Surface. I liked that part. I I think literally my favorite quote of the entire Wicked is life's less painless for the brainless. It's so accurate. And I don't mean brainless, like, just if you think like, if if you're going broader Mhmm. Like, just it doesn't really matter. Like I really I really I really liked it. It's sick it exceeded All of your expectations. I it's it's been my favorite show since because because of The Wizard of Oz, that was the movie I watched with my grandparents. I was Dorothy for, like, 8 years in a row for Halloween. So Wizard of Oz already meant something to me. I remember the first time that I saw I saw Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth. Wow. Which is oh, their cameo was cute. Loved it. Yeah. Loved it. It was cute. Too much. Not gonna lie. I was she came on and I go I love that. And I love that they kept it a surprise. So do I? Like, I'm so shocked that didn't get leaked. Same. But I just I don't know. I it we were going around the table, I swear to God, on Thanksgiving, and we're, like, what's everybody thankful for? We did a serious thing and then, like, a silly thing. Like, a silly thing could be, like, oh, I'm so thankful for, like, my bed. My bed's been really serving me this year. Whatever. I said wicked. Yeah. And my mom was like, really? Like, why? Expand on that. And I'm like, because it just it shows that, like, you can make a great adaptation. And, like, if you have the right people doing the right things, it can work. And it like, it's to the point now where I don't ever wanna see it on Broadway again. Like, I wanna just see the movie over and over, and I wanna see Cynthia Revo. Would she sing the the wizard. I I was like, okay. Here we go. Yeah. Here we go. Running to the cliff. Like, just every single thing about the movie was so well done. Like, the set, the costumes, the dancing, the choreography, the everything. Everything. I I wanna make a point and say that usually when we are overfed or it's oversaturated, I get a little nervous and I get a little scared and I get a little anxious. Right? So, like, I'm going into this movie last night, and I'm like, Ty, when you see the tulips, there's 87,000,000 real ones, and they shot outside over a 160 days, both movies in the UK. Like, I was getting a little like that, and that's how I felt with Barbie. And I wanna make this I'm not comparing the 2 at all because they're not comparable. Barbie, they're not the same at all. Yeah. But similar marketing. Similar. But Similar movies of the year. A lot of hype, movies of the year type. But I just wanna say, I felt like with Barbie, I was I was like, am I a bad person? Ferrera speech. Like, as a as a woman, and I have daughters, I was like, am I is something wrong with me? Because I'm not brought to, like, my knees by this? It was cute. I laughed. We liked it. We had a good time. But I felt left out. I'll say it. I felt left out because I wasn't, like I might have overhyped that to No. No. Natalie, I'm not saying it was bad. I'm just saying it. But the second time I saw it, I just was No. You liked it. That's okay. I wanna come on here today and say I absolutely feel the hype with Wicked. Like, I feel bad. I am moved. I loved it. I didn't cry. I know a lot of people cry. Really? I okay. Well, I told you. I thought you and I thought Ty would be, like, heaving. I cried at Defying Gravity. Random life. You didn't cry. You didn't get chills? Oh, well, I got chills a lot, but I like Defying Gravity, I was so excited for. I was on pins and wheels. I I was too I was too high to cry. Right? Like, I was on a 100. That is the song sis like, that is the song I know. Out of all of them, okay, I kinda know popular. I kinda know. No. Defying Gravity, I know it just from, like, pop culture. I could not wait to see, like, how they did it, so I was coming at it from, like, a consumer, so I didn't cry at all. But that song let's break that let's break down that entire sequence. I could let no. I'm literally gonna start crying, not because of the movie, but, like, I have, like, such core memories of playing that song. Like, we have, like, an iPOD that's stuck in our wall, and it and it would play around. This is, like, surround sound in, like, 2008. It was, like, the new thing. I remember I was with my mom and dad in our house, and, oh my god, we would, like, play that song around the house. And it was just, like, I think that's why I love it so much because it just, like, brings me back to, like, just such a I don't know. Like, I I was, like, fizz like, emotionally not okay, like, at the lyrics of that song. Of course. Seeing Cynthia Rivo. The fact that she was black too just made it, like, like, it just took it to a whole another level for me. I'm like, oh my god. Like, I'm like nudging Ty as she's, like, doing circles. I'm like, Ty, she's singing live. He's like, what do you mean? I'm like, just f**king listen. Like No. Like, singing live while being world upside down. Anybody that's like, okay. You know what? I'm gonna, like, put a I'm gonna take my stance, and I don't care what anybody thinks. I don't I'm I am doing this, and the way that John John Hsu. Right? The director? Because in in left the time for you, like, you felt every little nook and cranny in that song. So like in on Broadway, you're so excited to see it because you know it's coming. I mean, you're just like watching, and you're listening, and you're not really thinking. This movie made me think about the underlying message and the fact that you had so much time to digest that song and to listen and take in that song before she hits the Yeah. Like and she's and then she sees her younger self, and she's going down Catches her. Catches her. It just it was it I I don't know. I I it was so amazing to me, and they just did such an unbelievable job. It it was. There there are you know, in every musical or in every there are songs that you just really hope, oh, please don't f**k this up. Right? Totally. In in every musical, there's there's one. They couldn't though. Like, you had they had to nail this movie. No. And they did though. That's what I'm saying is, like, what what you just, like, tried to explain about seeing it on Broadway versus seeing it on a big screen is, like, with the movie, there was so much time for us to you guys, the only time I cried in the movie was at the very beginning when the dad said give her away, and then cut to the scene of her and her little sister, and the little sister's Ty and I were sobbing because we have daughters and the little sister's crying because they're being mean to them. Like, they allowed us so much time to understand her story, relate to her, watch her weave her way through Shiz. Ty's like, what is Shiz? I kept having to be like, it's the just go with it. Like, that is what that is what the beauty of cinema gives us is the ability of time and to really understand and feel and watch her and Glenda become friends and then watch them kind of that's kind of a mind f**k for all of us who liked Wizard of Oz, learning that Glenda ain't so great. Well, it's complicate okay. So now you're gonna get fed the speech or so while Dorothy is explaining in Wizard of Oz, oh, like, a house fell on my on the whatever. And how are the slippers? And Glenda's sitting back there, like, well, in Like, she knows. And how about in the beginning? Because the beginning was the end of what she Exactly. When she was crying. Like, when Yeah. Because she's, like, that's my friend. Like, we've got some history. And I know. But she's gotta go put on her good witch shoes and go prance around and wait for little Dorothy Gale to pop her. Who's gonna be Dorothy? Okay. So that's why I was asking you. Like, she doesn't have a part. Like, in Wicked, like, nobody in it? Oh, I feel like for the movie, they're gonna, like, put her in it. No. Like, she's literally, like, not in Wicked. Like, there's nobody that plays a Dorothy. It's gotta be someone I mean, if they are It's gotta be somebody so young that, like, it's an unknown. If they are really trying to pay homage, you know, Judy, that's a whole another let's go there another day, the Judy Garland movie with Renee. Ew. Judy was young. She was, like, 15. Yeah. And now you're gonna everybody's gonna be fed all these videos. Have you noticed that her wig changed? I never noticed this. Who? Dorothy in the wizard of Oz. Like, there's one scene where her pigtails is short, and then there's another scene where they're really long, And it was because it took them so long to film. They were doing pickups, and so, like, they changed the style of the wig. No. I Just funny, like, little things that not only have to seen it in 20 years, but Okay. Okay. So now watch it with sis I I after we saw Wicked, I watched Wizard of Oz that night. Okay. So I I think Margaret Hamilton maybe is the best witch of all time. Who? Margaret who played the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz. Oh, I know. So that's what I was gonna say. I have vivid, like this is why I'm so protective over what, like, my kids watch is because I literally like, when we're talking about trauma, like, there's 5 movies, and Wizard of Oz is one of them, because I was so, so I have a Aunt Linda, and I couldn't talk about when we couldn't separate the 2. I couldn't separate Glinda and Linda. So I thought my aunt was in the movie. I was so terrified of the Wicked Witch. I was so g*****n terrified of those monkeys, Natalie. When they popped up when they popped up last night and I found out how they got their wings, that was a mind f**k. No. I also cried during that moment. I was getting emotional. Okay? The monkeys with the wings got him going a little bit, but I love that. Like, I love that. She didn't mean to. No, she I know. And then they became her followers. Like, yes. See, that's the thing. I can't figure it out. No. Like, Wizard of Oz really scared me as a kid a lot of a lot of things about it. So I'm gonna have to, like, either do a lot of fast forwarding or pump the brakes, but I I do Just show Sicily, like I watched it over COVID. I actually have a picture. I posted it on my story of what I remember watching it over COVID and It really was no miracle. What happened was just this. A wish the wish began limping. Mhmm. Those notes on the piano or the first notes of Somewhere Over the Rainbow? Yes. I teared up when when Elva was on the cliff and she sees the blue birds flying over the rainbow. Oh. Like, that got me. I think I told you. My mom, at our wedding, my mom and, like, the people I forget who all walked. They walked out to somewhere over the rainbow. It was kind of like a a Ty's grandma and his parents, like, it was kinda like a grandma thing because, like, that when I think of my grandma, I think of that, and so she my I can't remember who walked out to that. So when I hear Somewhere Over the Rainbow, I get a little I think it's the most beautiful song. I get a little ill. Yeah. So that one And then go on Spotify and listen to Somewhere Over the Rainbow instrumental. Oh, god. No. Yeah. Like, the quartet. It just I love a musical, you guys. Like, that's that's the problem. And and this to me was such a muse I mean, I'm sitting there watching it, and it solidifies. I'm like, my girls are gonna be on Broadway. I know they are. I just know they are. You guys, Natalie, Glinda is okay. How funny was Is this part of this? No. That is Sicily. Ty and I were in the show. Every time she'd flip the hair, Tyna were dying laughing. And then when she throws her head on the head. No. No. No. No. Laughed out loud, Sarah, when she goes, but I gave you a really good one. No. And then when she looks in the mirror and she goes, wow. Hey. No. We were laughing. We're like, why is Glenda so Sicily coded? Like we were cracking up, but I was just watching it. I was really watching it very emotional because I'm like, it's in my I mean like you, like we're just, I wouldn't say I'm a musical theater kid because I can't sing, but, like, I'm a musical. I I just it's it's in our core. So when we watch things like that, I think that's why, like, you get so emotional. Now, you know, Cicely is listening to the soundtrack without even knowing what's going on this morning. We listened to Defying Gravity, and she noticed. So we listened to the Kristen Chenoweth one. Yeah. And when I was in the car, I put on the Ariana one. Mhmm. And I don't know what it was, and she goes, mommy, this one's scary. Like, she could hear, like, the difference of I don't know if it's different of Well Elphaba's voice being more scared. I was like I think there's more emotion. A more emotion in it. I know. Interesting that she picked up on that. She picked up on it. She goes, mommy, this one's different. This one's scary. As we're pulling into school, I go, you want the other one? She goes, yeah. So I put on the other one. It was crazy. But but I I can hear it though. Like, if you listen Yeah. No. There's there's is more, like, theater. God. I just love the theater. I loved it. And did you notice too, Chris, Ariana just played such a good, like, homage too to Kristen. Like, she left some of her stuff in that we all know that's Kristen's, like, so she you know, Kristen Chenoweth goes, don't make me laugh. They were popular, please. And Ariana goes, don't make me laugh. They were, and then Elphaba goes, popular, and she goes, right. I loved that. I did too. I'm like, oh my god. Like so I think Ariana was so good and, like, so No. She was so so good. But I'll tell you why I was a little nervous. You know how she does that thing on Jimmy Kimmel where she can imitate people really well? So I was worried that it was gonna be an imitation game for her, and I don't think it was. I think that she really I mean, we know now. You guys, like, we don't have to I know we're dropping facts, but, like, you're about to get spammed. You're gonna see all the reels. She practiced for her whole life. She trained for 5 years during COVID, like, that whole thing. And I think it really worked out. Like, she didn't, I felt like it was kind of her, but without sounding like her, which I like. Well, because she vocal I mean, like, fully changed her voice, and I liked it. And I loved too. There was an interview. She was on tour when she got, like, an inkling of, oh, they're filming the Wicked movie. She might have an audition. She said to her manager, she goes, I don't care when this audition is. I will cancel this tour. I saw this tour. Top priority. I've never seen her in concert. We took Kate wanted to see it was 2019, and Kate wanted to see her, so we took her. And And then doesn't it kinda make it so much better that, like, I met Cynthia Revo, and she was, like, so nice to me? I mean, like, granted, this was, but I'm pretty sure and Jackie might who I was with when we saw this theater when when we saw the theater when we saw the show that we were seeing where we met Cynthia, we are pretty sure that it was, like, right around the time where she had just found out that she Wicked because she had the same hair and the same nails in those videos in the images. That's crazy. I'm, like, what if, like, what if she was, like, she had already auditioned, and she was just, like, waiting to hear if she got it when I met her. That's crazy. That's really crazy. I wish it was, like, a week later when when, like, when I met her because it came out so quickly after that that, like, oh my god. I I literally said to her because I what I said to Cynthia, I was like, you were Harriet Tubman. Right? And the Harry and and she's like, yes. I'm like, god. If I only had known she was gonna be alpha, I would have started crying. Yeah. I would have been like, I can't this is gonna be life changing forever. I've read that they've already obviously filmed Yeah. Part 2. So that's What's that press gonna be like? I don't know how you can, like, redo it all. That's what I was gonna ask you. So they've already filmed it, so we already know who Dorothy is. How is that not leaked? Crazy. No. No. No. That won't come out until That's what I'm saying. Like, let the world see. We can still keep secrets. Okay? If you wanna keep a secret, you still can. Okay? Yeah. It works. And so that's crazy because we're sitting here speculating, and it's already been done. But then do they go on press again or, like, are we done here? Probably maybe they'll kick it into gear next August, October. I don't think it'll be, like, as much. I think it'll just they'll probably go do night like, late night talk shows. Okay. I can't believe that the wind here. And Bailey. Holy s**t. Ugh. I can't I I you guys, this is your sign. If you haven't seen it, go see it. It is feel good. Husband. Bring your son. Like, it's not it to what size Ty said, it's just it's oh, we showed, Bobby's brother-in-law the trailer. He's like, is it really that good? And we showed him the trailer. The trailer's long. It's like 3 minutes. He goes, oh, Oh. Because in the trailer, you get, like, a preview of all the cool stuff. Mhmm. Like, I I really It's just so good. I really like it. Saw it in theater. You you you must see it in a theater too. It's definitely something yes. You have to see it in in on big screen. Like, it wouldn't have hit the same if you saw that in your bed at home. No. Because it would have taken me 3 nights to watch it, honestly. And you can't do that. And you can't do that. You need to do it in one sitting, but it will definitely be something when it does come out, and that's what I think makes, like, a good that's what makes, like, you know I don't know what my favorite movie is. I'm sorry. But Crazy Rich Asians is in the running because to me, like, your favorite movie means you can watch it on repeat without skipping anything. And, like, to me, I think Wicked has that potential, like, for me and my family. Yeah. No. No. No. Like, stay tuned. And now that to my point a couple weeks ago, like, I didn't grow up watching this because it wasn't a movie. Like, where was I gonna learn? You know, I was in college when it came out. I didn't really care. This will be something that my girls grow up watching. No. No. No. No. You would have been in, like, grade school or middle school. Well, no. I when it I'm saying, by the time it became, like, a huge phenomenon. I saw it when I was 15. I liked it. But I'm saying, like, by the time iPods and s**t like that where you can Yeah. Yeah. Find music, like, where was I gonna listen to it? I didn't hear it. Oh my god. We have god bless my mom. She says saves everything. So I went down. I have a whole wizard of Oz box because I was the witch for Halloween, and she saved all my costumes. She saved the green face paint that I put on. She saved everything. Irrational. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, definitely. And she say what was I just gonna say? Oh, I have a CD. The CD. Exactly. The play. Like, you had to but what I'm saying is, like, you had to buy it if you were at the play. You couldn't order it on Amazon. After I watched it last night, I go, this is going to be a part of our repertoire. Like, this is gonna be a movie that the girls grow up watching and loving because well, scary parts, but, you know, in a year or 2, like, the popular, I loved that. Oh, god. Her flouncing her running down the hall. It was fun. Sorry. We just steamrolled that movie. No. I'm like, I don't even care because it's the movie of the year. I it's it's it's got to win, what, song of the year. It's gotta win It's got to win. It's got to win. It's gotta win costumed. I mean, he should win director of the mother effing year. What else is there? Like, what else is it talking? Interesting to see because you know it'll be, like, you know, it's always, like, old movies that we forget about. It'll be interesting to see what it comes up against, and it'll also be interesting to see the press that we do get once things are announced and everybody's doing the kind of the Oscar rounds and and the Golden Globe rounds. It it will be interesting, but I I don't care that we have that. What if they both won an Oscar? What if Cynthia won for lead actor and, Ariana won for supporting actor? I mean, that would be Also people were, like, up in arms that, like, Ariana got paid more than Cynthia Revo and the rest of the cast. I'm, like, I'm sorry. That's the, like, I read that Grande is, like, the biggest world's number one superstar. I thought I read they got paid the same amount and it was, like, a huge deal, the 2 of them. Oh, I read oh. I don't know. It's hard. Fake news. Yeah. Who knows? But I I did read that they got paid the same amount. Should should be equal, though. A big deal, but it'll be interesting to see how this plays out, especially going into they might not even have to do press because if they wouldn't sweep, it's like, k. The movie part 2 comes out in 8 months. It crushed Gladiator 2, which obviously. Which, like, kind of obviously. Right? Yeah. But but Gladiator was good. I don't think he was as good as the one with Russell Crowe, but, like, the Mezcal is delish. Yeah. That was him riding in on the horse. I also love Denzel. Oh, yeah. I love Denzel Washington. He just comes on the screen and just it's facts. Facts. I love him. My whole Instagram feed reel is all him just doing motivational quotes. Well, sometimes that's what you need. Clearly. Speaking of, Christian Chenoweth of it all, I watched the Lindsay Lohan, movie. I gotta be honest with you. I watched all of those ones that you watched. Mhmm. I hated the Lindsay Lohan one with Christian Chenoweth. I thought it was so stupid. But you know what I did go back and watch that I never watched? Irish Wish. Obsessed. Out of all of them, that's the one you hated, not the stripper Christmas? Oh, oh, no. I mean, out of the Lindsay Lohan ones. I thought the Irish wish was the best. Well, yes. That came out, like, 2 years ago. It took me yeah. You guys know I was trying to watch it, like, 9 times in a row. I mean, I am not watching The Chad Michael Murray stripper Christmas suit was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. I'm like, this is even, like, good because it's home like, they they What is it? Yeah. I guess. Because it's Chad Michael Murray, and he has a deal with Homer for a lifetime. I can't complain about him. Yeah. No. No. But just oh my god. The wig work. I loved, like, hot frostier. What's the name of that? Oh, the hot no. No. No. No. No. I liked that. Weird. I loved the the Christina Milian one with Pentatonix because I just love Pentatonix. Like, I thought that was a good time. Do do do do. Yeah. I just watched these for fun, but, Natalie, I really, really enjoyed the Lindsay one. Like, I've been watching it again. I know. I I don't know why. Did it catch you on a bad night? I didn't like the guy. The guy? Okay. The the guy or x. Oh, the x. The x. The I'm talking about the one with Christian Channel with. Yeah. This was literally a mix of Seth MacFarlane mixed with the personality of Ryan Reynolds. And I was like Oh, I gave you the x. Oh, I loved the story. It took me on twists and turns. I love Kristen Chenoweth. I love her in a crystal ball. I love Kristen Chenoweth. It was like STMS to its core. That's, like, what we are. No. Like, STMS to its core, like, stupidly to me was the hot frosty one. Like, if I'm gonna watch if I'm gonna watch one of those movies, I want you to cheese it up. Like, I loved the fact that a man came out of a snowman. That he fully was running around naked as a snowman. Then you're like watch the Chiefs one. If you want Cheese City, you need to watch that one. I I can't I I I I it will make me have an out of body experience in in a not good way. I I cannot do that. And you know that Taylor and Travis are sitting there probably high off their a*s being like, oh my god. Like, oh my god. Yeah. The Chiefs one is intense, but, like, are the Hunt family behind it? I mean, Natalie, it's a it's a Chiefs Christmas. Like, it's the craziest I know. It was I can't The craziest, like, Andy Reid's in it. What? And Andy Reid's in it. And the mom. Donna's in it? Yes. Like, a Oh, no. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. She plays a waitress. No. Oh, wait. In Hot Frosty, the girl from Selling Sunset was in it. I know. I know. My favorite woman ever from American Housewife and Four Christmases was also in it at the very end. Yes. And that guy was the I know from Schitt's Creek. Oh my god. It's just a lot of feel good for me. Like, I'm waking up every day in December happy, excited. I'm going to bed at night fulfilled. I don't know what it is. Call it the hot cocoa. Call it the wicked. I'm just happy. Like, I just wanna come on here and say, I'm just so fulfilled right now. Me too. It feels kind of like a dream. It's a great it's it's great to put on after I'm not done with it yet, The JonBenet Ramsey No. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I I I was, like, actually upset when I woke up to your stories at 6 AM. I don't know how I first of all, I thought JonBenet Ramsey was a boy. I I can't. Like I thought he was, like, a serial killer. Had no idea what she was. JonBenet, I hope you're not listening. Like, I just feel like it just terrifies me No. No. That the people solving murders are, like Can't solve it? Kevins that just, like, go home and, like, go to bed. Like, I feel like we need to have everybody solving a murder. Like, they all need to be in, like, the CIA or FBI. Like, we don't have room for error. Can we, table this? Because I have to go get Cicely from school. Can we talk about this next week? Because I will will you watch it? Because this is one this is something, like, I don't wanna end on this because I have so much to say. But, like Yeah. Okay. To Bobby's point, like, there is a group of us who could not sleep at night as children because we were so petrified. So And this story is why. My mom texted me and then we can go. She's like, I cannot believe you don't remember this. I'm like, well, obviously, I don't remember this. You were, like, 1 When we were in Michigan, I guess, I I guess I went to Michigan when I was 2 or 3, however No. I was, like, 1 this time. No. You were because I was 96. I was the same age as like, I was, like, the same age as her. Well, I guess her family had a vacation house in Michigan, and, like, they were there. And, like, my mom would, like, take me on a stroller, like, and walk around and, like, try and see something. I'm, like, lovely that you took your You took me around these. Took me around. I don't know. I don't know what I think. I need to finish the documentary because I'm so confused. Because I have so much to say on this topic, and I know a lot of our listeners feel the same because, like, how much time do we have left? Really quickly, like, I know for you, I know what yours are. Right? Mhmm. Casey Anthony. Yeah. I love you. And, who's the girl who killed a roommate? Oh, Amanda Knox. Yeah. Like, those are yours. Right? Like, you were my I don't think she killed I don't think she killed her. Sorry. You know? But those are, I feel like, what you grew up with. Right? Mine are Scott Peterson, JonBenet, and Elizabeth Smart. Elizabeth Smart, thank God. God knows. But, like, that is a story that, like, haunts and traumatizes, like, my generation or, like, my age. So I know was on the back of the milk carton. Right? She saw herself? Who's that? No. Elizabeth Smart was someone saw her out in public. Okay. But there one of them saw another young girl this is horrible. Saw I mean herself on the back of a milk carton.
