Hello, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of When Reality Hits. I think we're going to start off with the elephant in the room. OK, so it's been a big week. I'm sure everyone listening has seen the news online by now that I filed for divorce from Jacka*s. I unfortunately can't speak on details because everything has been heavily documented on the show since we happened to be filming right now. You will see how everything plays out once the show airs, but I will say this this season has been the most difficult season I have ever had to film. I never imagined I'd go through something so personal and painful while having the World Watch. I'm not saying this for anyone to feel badly because I know that this is the life I chose and I'm so fortunate in many ways. But I will always want to be real with you all. Many have said online they think this has been a publicity stunt for the show or to garner ratings, and it's the furthest thing from that. My decision to file wasn't made lightly or quickly. It's taken me many, many years to get to this point where I've gained enough courage and strength to do what was best for me, get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth. It's been very difficult, but I'm stronger than ever, and my motivation is my son, my cruisy, who deserves a happy and healthy mommy. Moving forward, Jackson, I will be doing the podcast separately. Thank you all so much for the support. Love you very much, and I hope that you enjoy an episode that has some of our best memories together from the past. And stay with us because we will get this together soon. And I love you guys and just hang in there with me. Thank you. And. You look amazing. Hello, everybody, and welcome to when reality hits with Jackson and Britney this week, we have the start of the sea captain Lee. Hey, captain Lee, how's it going? Long time, no talk. How are you doing, buddy? It has been a while, hasn't it, Jackson? You and I had a conversation was it was either it. I know what you're going to say. It was either. Watch what happens live or or it was it the commercial we did with Chrissy Teigen and Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's house? That was a fine. Yeah. They said, Come on, you have to. They called us. The directors called us and they said, You got to do this thing with Jax. And they took us into her spare room and were in there doing the thing with Jax and John had just gotten home. And while we're in there doing our thing, whatever it was, they wanted done. John sits down to the piano and bangs out two or three times what we're in there shooting. And we came out and he stops. I know. So you didn't get to watch him live? No, no, no. We're just about to hear everybody else swoon and groan. Oh man, we had to do the dirty work. How's your health right now, by the way? Yeah. How are you feeling? Everything good. Hey. He said. He just left the gym. So I mean, yes, I know. But we were watching our show and we were just making sure we're just checking up on your health. Want to make sure you're doing good? Going to the gym is a great sign right here. Like this is making progress every day. Very good. So am I going to run a marathon anytime soon? No, I got a surprise. I was never going to run a marathon. So where are you located right now? Where are you based out of Fort Lauderdale? Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I love Florida. I love. I'm so jealous of where you are, but I make this very well known that Florida is my favorite place on Earth. I've been all over the world and I'm very fortunate to travel all the way to Florida. Just there's something about Florida. I just love it. I love the smell of the mangoes. I love the smell of. Soon, as you get off the plane, I just, you smell Florida. I love that salty air. And I told Brady one of these frickin days, we are going to move there. I'm not sure when or how, but we are going to move that one of these days. But you are literally a captain of these big, huge, beautiful yachts. You've been a captain for, what, 38 years now? Is that correct? Thereabouts. I really don't remember 30 around 38 years. You're on to season started when I was 35, and I'm yeah, wow. 38 years. You started when you were thirty five. Wow, you've had 10 seasons. On Bravo's below deck. We're hearing rumors that you might not come back. Is that true? Are you thinking that's above my pay grade? If they asked me to come back, I would. Oh yeah, OK. I was worried because I saw all these rumors, but now I see that you're in the gym, you're feeling good. So rumors of my retirement have been highly exaggerated. I'll get it. Trust me, we get it. We heard a rumor. Yes, like two days ago that we were pregnant again. They reuse our photos from our first ultrasound and reused them again, so we know how the rumor mill was and how they just make s**t up. And we're supposed to be OK with it, right? It is like, how is that? I don't know how that's legal. I don't know how they can get away with it, but it just we're supposed to be OK with it, and it's like they was to me. It's called clickbait. They just want everybody to be able to click it and read everything like thinking that it's going to be true. Definitely not true. Well, that's good to hear that you might be coming back because I was definitely thinking that it wasn't going to be like that. If I were invited, I would go back whether they're going to invite me back or not, that's up to them. Hey, you're the OG. You started this off, didn't you? Yes, I did. And everyone loves your one liners. I hear that you are just the one liner like King. Jax is not very good at his. His never make any sense. Like, he says, things like going to kill like, you know, two birds with sixty seven stones, or they'll walk off a long bridge with a short break. I did. I just met them all up because I'm always in the moment and I feel like I'm a little dyslexic. So sometimes the words just don't come out, right? I think I'm saying I'm right, but anyway, your lines are always the best and I'm always like, Man, if I could just be like Captain Lee and just have my zingers, I always think about him after the fact. And that's like, that's how, you know, you're like, Oh, I should have said this, I should. It's on, you know, how it is when you're filming, you're like, Oh, I should have done this. I like this one. Everyone wants to be a captain until it's time to do captain s**t. And that's that's an absolute truism. You need a merch shirt. That's your merch shirt right there. As soon as as soon as this s**t hits the fan and then you start to go pear shaped. Yeah, yeah, I'll say, here's your four stripes. Can I ask you to give me a one liner on two different topics? OK? The first topic I would like to hear something from you about is scared of all. You know, Tom and Ariana. We're all in the Bravo world. So what would be a one liner from Captain Lee about Sandoval putting you on the spot here? But gosh, I think if brains were dynamite, that. I couldn't blow his nose. Oh, yes, I love my guys, and he's just so fast and quick to not disappoint. And can't wait to see him at BravoCon did not disappoint. OK, the next one is about Carl and Lindsey, their big break breakup news. Gosh, that's a tough one because I'm close to both of them. And it's not really a one liner, I don't suppose. But I guess if it's not meant to be, it's better to find out earlier than later. Hey, I agree. I agree. Could you imagine if they would have went through this or they would have had kids or whatever? I mean, yeah, it's nobody wants a breakup, but it's, you know, if you're going to do it, now's the time to do it. It gets really ugly. Yeah. Like Shuey, look at this happened after they got married and it was two months after instead of two months before. It would have been a whole different situation, you know, so maybe that will be for the good in the long run. Like I said, it's just important that they got found out early and everyone's just kind of laying into it. It's their personal business. But, you know, being in the reality world, everybody's got. We don't have personal business anymore, do we? Captain, let you know our business is everybody's business. I want to talk about this little Twitter feud that you and of course she brings that. I can't even remember that put a few things that I had that you guys had where Jax blocked character Lee for, I think, no reason. Yeah, that's it again. Thanks for putting me on the spot. Love you. I don't even remember what it was. I don't even remember what it was. God's honest truth. I honestly don't remember. OK, but then I got you back to let us know she's going to look. Yes. I was honestly on a blocking rampage in those days, and I blocked anybody that just even looked at me the wrong way. But I you I remember that. Yeah, you did. Yeah. And like I said, we squashed it. We squash it at John's house. I know, but it's just very funny because I got to read it says this is Jax. Listen closely to all of those who like to tweet your bulls**t to me, Jax began. Who are what appeared to be a message to his hater on Twitter last week. The day you become perfect is the day you can give me your opinion and advice. Until then, worry about you. Your life will be more fulfilled. And then Captain Lee says, I remember this. See if I have this right, you only take advice or listen to opinions of those who are perfect. Well, that certainly narrows the field, doesn't it? And Jax blocked him just for that comment. You're not allowed to one up me. You're not like, Oh my gosh. I was like, Look, try to look it all up. But it was crack. And we it was, he said, something like, Well, I guess I didn't make the Christmas card list. Yeah, well, I'm not embarrassed at all. Did you fix that, Jax? I did. We talked about it at John and and John and Christine House. We had a chat about it. It was it was just a mess. It was dumb. It was just stupid. It was one of those things where it's just like I was on a Twitter rampage. It was known for blocking people. In fact, I had a whole sweatshirt line may have been blocked by Jax. There's thousands and thousands and thousands of people that I've blocked and I know much anymore. But yeah, I've seen I've seen some Twitter names blocked by Jack Black by Jay. I know there's a whole, yeah, there's a whole thing. Yeah, they can start. Yeah, it got a little out of hand for what? I don't do it much anymore. In fact, I don't think I can remember the last person I Barclays because needs to grow up a bank. I grew up a lot. I went through a little bit of a, you know, a diva phase where I was kind of like, Nobody can touch me and I can say whatever I want, but you get older and you're like, Why do I care? I don't know why I care. Personally, I think if if you block somebody you know, and there's there's a lot of justifiable reasons for blocking somebody, oh yeah. You know, the main villain, you know, malicious tweets that you see out there that just come at you just out of nowhere? Yeah, it's just it's just like, you know, I don't have time for this crap. Yeah, right? And it's always the one like, I've said this before, you'll get like twenty thousand great comments and then you'll get one. That's just and that's the one that sticks with you. You know, it's just the profile, and it's like they have to follow works. Right, right. And Egg is a pitcher and that's mom and dad. Yeah. And as I said, she's like, What do I always say? Church lover? Love God, love everyone's family first. Yeah, and that's always something that will live. Yeah, yeah. Oh gosh. One vicious tweet at a time. Seriously, I know there was another time where Jax had tweeted said that he would like to bartend on a below deck yacht, and you were that you were kind of like, Oh, it'll definitely be entertaining. So I would like to hear from Captain Lee. Do you think Jax could ever handle actually working for you? Be honest, Bobby, to be honest. Yes, I think I could now. I think in those days, no, I think now I think I'm a different person now. Okay, well, we get. Yeah, I think I think Jax is 100 percent right. I think when he was on, you know, you guys were on Vanderpump and, you know, his head was like, There the door to the door? Yeah, I think that would have been an issue. Yeah. But I think now, yeah. No problem at all. Oh, wow. I think I think you'd be a good employee. Well, I will tell you. Yeah. Good individual to work with. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. I don't want to use that, that word employee because I like it. I will tell you that we rented a houseboat. I'm from Kentucky, so we rented a houseboat on Lake Cumberland, and Jack thought he was going to be the captain of our houseboat. I have been there. Are you going to make it? I get it. I did a top chef show there. Oh my gosh. Yeah, well, I'm from Kentucky. I'm the houseboat. Oh yeah, yeah. There are a lot of fun. Oh, but Jax thought he was going to captain it, and he just kept running it into the wall. I ran into the wrong guy thinking it was awful. Just, I mean, you know how those things like they're like pontoon boats. Basically, they're just oversized pontoon boat. They're floating double lives. Basically, it was like literally just break into the rocks boat. You cannot park it like it definitely, definitely could not be a captain. No, it's a lot harder than it is even on a lake. Now, mind you, he's on an ocean. I'm on a lake. OK. And there's rocks way far away. I still managed to hit him. Still managed to not park the thing. We lost all the power on the last day. Nobody had any clue how to turn anything on. Couldn't flush the toilets. I mean, it was the whole thing. It was awful. And this is just us on like Cumberland and I, and it was a hundred and twenty degrees out that day and it was just like we had to get towed back to the dock. I love to do it again. I just want to rent. I want to make sure we get like a proper captain on there. Like, actually, we're going to make you kind of Kentucky with us and see if you'll just have a piece a little bit out of our way. I would do that with you guys, really. I to take you on that. That would be absolutely amazing. Check and see if my license is big enough. So you've been doing below deck for 10 seasons so far. Did that really change your career being on Bravo or was it already such a huge success before you even started because, as you said, you've been doing it for so many years? Well, you have to define, did it change my career as a captain or did it change my career? Period. Oh, I mean, that's a great career. Period. Yeah. When I I was not, I didn't go through the audition process that most people on Bravo go through further than any audition tapes and or anything like that. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and they had an itch they had to have scratched, and that was the back scratcher. You were, I mean, blowout that took off. It's got so many different. Yeah, they're like in so many different countries now. And it's just it's yeah, it's it's, you know, it is taken off. It really, really has. I knew after season two that my life as I knew it prior to that was never going to be the same again. Do you regret it, any of it or no? No, no. Change your life for the better, of course, right? Changed my life for the better. And I've I've we've had a lot of fun with it. Mariam sometimes meant so much, but you know, once you get her out of the house, she she kind of loosens up a little bit and she has a good time. Does she? Is she coming to any of the trips with you at all over the years? She did one, and they talked her into being on one of their shows. How'd that go? Oh, they screwed the pooch on that one. Yeah, she didn't like it. She didn't like it at all. Well, she had she had had a couple of pups on the plane and she was nervous. Yeah. And the way it was pitched to her, one of the producers came down and we all went out to dinner, and the way he pitched it to her was like, You know, it's not going to be like, You think there's not going to be cameras in your face, you're not going to be going to be anything you won't even know. We're there. Yeah, we said, were you laughing when they said that? Said the spider to the fly? Yeah. So she's she gets there and she's walking down the dock, and before she gets to the boat, they stop her. Then some guy, you know, starts lifting up the back of her shirt and she's going to pick her up. Oh, yeah, yeah. And she goes, she said, I haven't been here five minutes already or molesting me. Oh, no, she's. And he says, I just have to get your miked up and I have to slip this under your brush because again she goes, You're assuming I'm wearing a bra and you're like, Oh, here we go. All right, let's just let the games begin. Not even half the documents show about that. Like back to the boat. Yeah, yeah. And it was our first time ever filming. Yes. Yes. The first and last thought she'd been on. She'd been on watch. It happens why she'd been bartend there a couple of times. Yeah, yeah. And she's she's pretty outspoken when when push comes to shove, if she needs to stand the ground, you can bet your sweet a*s. You will. Well, good. Good for her. And I stand by her whenever she does because ninety nine point nine percent of the time she's right now. That's right, your wife is always right. I think it's 100 percent, if you ask me. And even even if when I'm right, do you really want to ask you this? That's like one percent of you. No one saw me ask you this, as has allowed for one percent. I've got I've come to realize, though, even when I am right. Is it? Do you really even want to be right? Like because even if you are right, you're still going to get the hell? You know, there's yeah, there's a point where they'll ask you a question and you go, like, I'm not answering that. Yeah, have you lost your mind? I'm the answer, man. How long have you been married? We have been married 48 years going, I'm forty nine. Wow, that's amazing. Congratulations. Is there any advice? Marriage advice? We've only been married for for years now together give us because you obviously have an amazing relationship. Marianne and I spend our days and our time, and it's not know when you when you cover forty eight, forty nine years. There's a lot of ups and downs, a lot of mistakes that are going to be made. But when it's all said and done, I wake up in the morning and I go, How can I make her happy? Oh, and she does the same thing with me. She would rather do something she doesn't enjoy doing to make me happy and do it with me, and I'm the same way with her. You know, I won't go without something that I really want to see, that she gets something that she does want. Wow. So it's all compromise and wow, it's a compromise. Absolutely. And but it's knowing when to compromise. It can't be. Yeah, unless they can't be like one. Look what I gave up for you. Yeah, no. Mm. That you have to want to give it and nothing's overpromising. Yeah. If you if you come to the point where you're doing something. Aren't you going high? All right, I'm going to do it, I just want you to let you know that I don't like it. Well, that's bulls**t. You know, it's not going to work. Good enough. You just have to have the mindset every day I wake up and how can I put a smile on their face? Because to me, that smile hurts is just what makes me tick. Oh my gosh. I guess it sounds like you're saying you have your marriage. You go on these like long trips, I'm sure. How do you keep things spicy in your relationship whenever you're gone for so long? Yeah, I need I need some advice on that. Yes. We're only four years. So help us. Or if you say I'm eight years. We've been together for eight years. Four years. Married or been together. Eight years. So yeah, we've been OK. How are you going to say it should be natural? Yeah, everything should be. Just let it flow. Yeah, I got to say, you know, Kimberly opened up about this, but I've been slacking a little bit in the romance department in the last month. Our babies, only two are babies two years old. We came out of COVID, you know, we had really not a lot going on right. And I was kind of I wasn't saying I was depressed, but there's just not a lot going on. And then all of a sudden things started helping. Confidence might have been really low, really low. And you know, and I feel like I'm the breadwinner. If I felt like I was the breadwinner in the family, I like to take care of my family. I grew up that way where the man takes care of the woman in the family. That's just how I grew up. So, you know, it's obviously just took a lot out of me. It took a lot out of my savings. It took a lot of everybody's savings and stuff. So I was just I felt defeated as a man. I just felt very defeated. And there was times where, you know, I had to go to my wife and say, Hey, can you cover me this month on this bill or whatever this month? And it just it just hurt me. I know she has, and I know we're married and they know she she'll do anything, you know, we'll do anything for each other, but it just hurts a little bit. So I was a little bit in a funk and then all of a sudden things started happening. Now we're so busy and it's just good again. And I just felt, I don't want to leave this time. I don't want to go back to where I was during COVID. And I just so I put I felt like I put my marriage a little bit on the back burner. So you're going to you're going to have these ups and downs. You are definitely going to have them. And Marianne and I have had them where I've had times, where when I was working in the mills and stuff, I get laid off. Yeah, and no money coming in. And I'm proud to say Marianne got up every day and she worked eight, 10, 12 hours a day. Cleaning houses other people's houses so that we could, you know, continue on right and the team? Exactly. It is a team, I agree. But I know there's there's there's the point where you have to swallow your pride, stick your ego where the sun don't shine and carry on, because what's most important is that you're doing it together with each other and for each other. And sometimes somebody else is going to happen, is going to have to step up to the plate and do what she has to do. You're going to have to step up to the plate at other times and do what you have to do and then eventually get to the point where Marianne got and she said, I'm done. She said, I am officially retired. Yes, good for her. She deserves it. You do things together as a unit, right? You're not. I guess. I don't know how to say you're you're one right? But sometimes somebody is going to do a little bit more of the heavy lifting. Yeah. And there's no nice person, right? And there's nothing wrong with that. I just, as you know, I grew up a little differently. You know, I just grew up, you know, my grandfather, you know, worked at my grandmother's stay at home. My father worked. My mother stayed home. I just and like I said, my wife is amazing. She's amazing. She's like, Listen, if you can't handle this, I got you this month, I got you this or whatever you needed. I just, you know, as a man, sometimes it just it just hits the ego a little bit. And I'm just so yes, if that's when, that's when for the sake of YouTube being together. Yeah, that's when you got to take that ego. Yeah. And you're right. You're right, and I have to get in the way. That's what Jack struggled with for years and years and years. Yeah, my life, your ego was got the worst of you, and I'm sure you know that right? I yeah, I had. I had a similar issue. Mine was a friend of mine, called me up one day, and he said, I told I said, I said, Why not? We were talking about a particular guy. I said, Why doesn't him like me? He said he thinks you're arrogant. And I said, arrogant, as if Kim, I love it. I love your personality. I know what. I know what you feel. And I went through that and you know, and I'm seeking help and I'm going through and trying to figure it out. But now I'm just I feel like we have a little baby. We have a baby boy. And it's like, now we have a toddler whose name is Cruz actually C.R. Yousee. He's a handsome little boy. But like I said, I'm just I'm taking out a lot. I'm a yes man. I say yes to everything. I'm one of those. I don't have a hard time saying no to people. I like to take on 20 different projects knowingly that I can't do them. I take him on anyway. It's a problem that I have. But now everything's just going knock on wood. Things are going really, really well right now, and I felt like I spread myself a little bit too thin. And where I'm lacking was in my with my marriage, and I was kind of paying enough attention to Britney and her needs. And I'm aware of that, and I'm like, You know what? I kind of sat back and I'm like, How can I fix this? Because, you know, there was. It was. It was almost getting to the point where we were like, kind of just seeing each other and passing like, Hey, how are you? OK, I'm taking the kid and doing this and they, OK, you're going out to dinner, OK? It was almost like in passing, and then I was like, We got to stop this because, you know, this is turning into where we're just roommates here and now we know we forget that we're married. I think it's great that you that you came to that realization before it got too late. And not everybody will. Not everybody has the humility to admit that I think being on reality shows like has made us be so open and honest about everything that goes on in our lives. Obviously, we open that door a long time ago. But yeah, it's just been. It's just kind of can be kind of crazy sometimes, you know, and I'm working through it and to pretty honest towards the point of being brutal. Yeah, but that's why that's why I'm like, I would just love to hear what you think. Like, you didn't know you stand up to be our therapist today that this is a therapy session. I think everybody goes through their ebbs and flows, their ups and downs in marriage, and I said we're very aware of what's happening and I caught it. And you know, obviously I'm trying to fix things a little bit, but it's a good problem to have. You know, when you're, you know, you're working a lot and all these things are starting to come now, I just kind of manage everything. And that's just the that's the point that I was getting to. So I think I think the I think the best thing I could ever tell anyone that because we're all in the same industry, right? We just get filmed doing different things. Exactly. And my advice to anyone that's ever come on board the boat is if you want to get asked back for a second season, keep your head down, do your job and be yourself. Mm-Hmm. And stay away from the Kool-Aid bowl. Yeah. People try a little too hard when it comes to reality TV. I think being yourself is always what makes it so much more organic and so much more real than is simply the plant. Yeah. As soon as the cameras come on, they morph into this monster and you look at it like, yes, do like, we've dealt with that. Yeah, we've dealt with that. Are you and what did you do with my body? Yeah, we've dealt with that so many times. I want to know Captain Lee what would be one of the craziest stories that has happened on your one of your yachts that you're allowed to tell us, one that sticks out to you. You know, that's, you know, because I can only imagine having to deal with all these drunk people and everything else. And I know you don't like the word employees, but I mean, you could even go to, you know, your staff, like, was there something that kind of sticks out to you that like, you know, you could tell us kind of quickly. I've had to let a lot of people go, obviously over the seasons. And some of them, I didn't want to let go. Very few. But the rest of them, some of them, I just thoroughly enjoyed letting go. And I think one of the one of the moments that sticks out in my mind is the hardest thing for me to do was to walk off the boat when I was injured. Hmm. Yeah. And that just because I am, I don't want this to sound. I hate the term ego because I've always said, if you're a captain, you check your ego at the dock. When you get on board the boat, that's where you leave it. Yeah, because otherwise it's just going to cause you problems. And I didn't I didn't come on board after I was injured because it was ego. It was because I made a commitment and I I always I do my utmost best different felt every commitment I make. I keep my word. If I give you my word, then you can take it to the bank and cash it. Yeah, it's as good as done. Mm-Hmm. And then I got down there and I had a conversation with one of the producers and I said, I'm more of a liability right now than I am an asset. And I said, I'm not doing anybody any good. I said because my situation is getting worse. I know it wasn't getting better and I made a promise to him. And I said, But I promise you, before this season is over, I will be back. And I will finish it. And I said, I may not be 100 percent, but I think my 75 is better than most people's hundred. You're obviously a very hard worker. Yeah, I I'm I'm a firm believer in it. Yeah. And that you work smart, but you have to you have to complete what you started. And I started the season and I was determined. And when I came back to Fort Lauderdale, I went straight off the plane straight into the hospital, and from there I went straight into physical therapy and I stayed there for two and a half weeks and work eight hours a day to get to the point where I could walk. And I promised him. I said, I will walk on board the boat. I won't use a crutch, I won't use a cane, then I wouldn't use it after I got on board, walk them up again, like I was going to do that on my own. And you did. And you did. And I did. And then that meant a lot to me. It was a it was a sense of personal pride. Yeah, that I I kept my word and I did what I said I was going to do because it's like it's integrity. Of course you have it or you don't, and it may take you a little while to realize how important that is to you. But once you do, it's it's a big deal. And I just think it's something that more people should pay attention to. Yeah, and I know a lot of people are will definitely like, look up to that for sure. Like, I know I look up to that. That's amazing. A fun question for you now. All right. I'm ready for whatever issue it's got to go. We're we're done with that. If you had to make a crew out of only Bravo liberties, who would it be? Wow. So I can go across the whole spectrum. Yeah, old ones. New ones. How many is that would be like? Five. I don't know how many people know that we have. We have nine. Nine. Yes. I want to know who you would have. Well, I would definitely have Kate. Yes. Yeah. We have our new show together, and I've always thought that Kate and I had this chemistry that just worked. Yeah, she's funny as well. And I never had to. I never had to worry about anything with Kate. It was like, these people want a white party on a beach with $40 million worth of fireworks, naked dancing ladies and some flamethrowers. And she'd go, No problem. I love that. That's awesome. That's awesome. And get it done. So definitely be Kate. I would have Eddie or Kelly as the boatswain. Eddie, by the way, has got himself firmly entrenched. I'm really proud of him. He's got he's got his unlimited mates license and he's since been. He's since been promoted up to captain. Oh, wow, wow. So he's got his four stripes and he's running. He's run a big, huge togs out of out of Baltimore and the Inner Harbor. He's the one that takes those thousand foot freighters in and out on his own. I can ever imagine Jack's doing that. No, I love watching it. I love watching that stuff. It's very impressive. Well, as far as the rest of the crew goes, I would just want I would probably select the people that that work the hardest and had the most fun because they really enjoyed their job and what they were doing. Yeah, Connie was one of my favorites. Connie was season two, I think, Oh yeah, and she was I. I was totally amazing because once she brought her luggage on board, she brought it a sewing machine. And all my years in the attic, nobody brought a sewing machine. So she fixed people like people that were on the yacht for like clothes and everything. What was she doing with her sewing machine? Not exactly. Connie had a great sense of humor, which I totally appreciate and I love. I love practical jokes. I really do. I know I probably don't seem like it look like a joke. So Connie would sit there in the crew mess and she would watch because like, the doors are always open. Some guys in his underwear and he's put in his shorts on getting ready to walk. And no. It closes the door. Yeah. She would watch what like does he always put in first? Any chance? And so she would sneak in that he'd gone to bed and she'd grab his shorts for the next day and she would show the other leg short. So it's shot, you know, it produced one like it. And then they try to put the other one in and it was just sewn shut. So it's like, fall over. And then if it's asked if she'd be sitting out there and she'd be filming and she'd be laughing or so, Oh, I love that. It was great. And then and then right when he thought he was over that he'd slip on his deck shoes and they'd be filled with like whipped cream or shaving. Oh, so that's fun that everybody would do practical jokes like, I love scaring Jack's. He is like the biggest scary cat ever. So I know another reason that he probably would not be a good employee. Scary movies. I don't like anything scary. I just don't like it. I love Halloween, but I don't like being scared. You and Marianne would get along. I don't like it. She loves it. You know what she used to do to me? We had these automatic doors that would open up, and I would be on the outside going to come in. And because you could see outside, but outside, you couldn't see into the salon because the tent? Yeah. And so she would get her nose that close to the door. And I'm ready. I'm just walk towards the door and it is. It opens. She's just like, Oh yeah, I would scare the living hell. I love doing that to Jack. Oh, I look like a cat trying to cover it up and up and another one later. When reality hits is brought to you by Hello, Bello, it takes a village to raise a baby, which is why delegation is key. Does he ever watch the season back and wish that he had fired someone from something you saw in the show that you didn't know that happened until you watched it back? Not that I didn't know that happened, but there's one person I regret not firing just on the spot who keeps it rocking rocky. Oh, what did she do? Rocky was the third stew, and she was just she was, I guess, I guess you could say she was built for reality TV. Oh, yeah, she's one of those few other reality shows, and she for nailed away under this one. Mm hmm. And then she would. She was a big fan of Leon. I don't know if you remember Chef Leon. He's the one that, you know, he didn't clean his galley well enough, and we started a fire in the in the oven because it was so dirty and Eddie put it out. It's like there was pandemonium going on. Eddie calmly walks up with a fire center, opens up the door shut star system, brought back to bed. It was crazy. And so she got her knickers in a wad about the time I'm getting fired. Oh, he didn't get fired. I offered him the opportunity, I said, and I said, You know, this isn't working, right? I said, you were the cause. Somebody was trying to do you a solid by cooking pizza for you and not going down and waking your a*s up because you're the chef. So they decided to let you sleep. They decided to go ahead and just slide to the end of the oven, and it caught fire because your oven was dirty. And then you tried to toss them under the bus. I said, So why don't we just say that this is your last charter now? Mindful we only have one dinner to go and the guests are off the boat the next day. Oh, wow, yeah. And he goes, Oh, I'm out of here. Oh, wow. I said, This is like Burger King, buddy. You can have it your way, put his a*s on a boat and ship them out. And then Rocky got her knickers in a wad because you fired my best friend. LeAnn got it. And she strips down and in the sky lounge and takes the microphone off and everything bails over the side. Like, jump to the water over the water. Yeah, bailed him. Oh, it was nice. It was a nice dive. I asked if I. Give her a solid five point eight six. Wow. Interesting. And Eddie goes, he says he just jumped overboard. He said, Good guys. Oh, good. And then he said she's swimming to another boat. I said, if they pick her up, let's pull the anchor and leave. Oh oh my gosh, I got another question for you from a taxi underscore B, underscore Norris. What Bravolebrity would you not want as a guest on your boat? Out of all the Bravolebrity out there on all different shows? What's one guest that you would not want to have as a guest on your boat? Sandoval Yeah. You know what? I don't think it's because of what he did. It's just kind of type of person he is. I agree. I would agree, and I would agree. I would have your hands full with that one. You would have your hands what he did, what he did because of the type of person he is very true way to put it. That's a great way to put it. Very generous. That just describes him in a nutshell, all that phony crying bulls**t he did at the reunion. Like, I agree, I agree. They say that bell for someone who's going to buy it. Exactly. Yeah, I agree with you. I agree with you. Like I said, I had too many conversations with them and I had some conversation with with him this year. Yeah. And you know, I said the same thing. I'm not, you know, I I'm just mad how he treated. He treated his buddy, Tom Schwartz and Tom Schwartz. This is my one of my best friends, if not my best friend. They have a business together, and I just don't agree with how he treated him during this time. And Tom was going through his own personal things with his family. His brothers were in the hospital, his dad was in the hospital. This and that, and he couldn't. He just wasn't a big blow. It's a big load. And plus they opened a business together and Tom decided to take off and go on tour with his garage band and leave Tom Schwartz by himself. So I didn't really agree of way how he handled the whole situation. Yes, what he did was wrong, obviously, with the cheating thing and everything like that. I wasn't going to get into that. Too much is just how he handled the whole situation. It wasn't man enough just to come forward and say, You know what? I messed up. I screwed up. I need to fix this. I know I did some damage to Ariana, but I need to make things right with everybody. They don't have to love me anymore, but I just want to do things the right way. From here on out, and he just almost kind of went worse and worse and worse and worse. So I totally. And then and then you saw saw what happened with Rachel after it all simmered down, she told all the the truth about their relationship, and now she's like being on this podcast with Bethenny. Yeah, that's the whole thing. It's a whole mess. And now he's stuck in somebody else. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seriously, I'm at Kamille. I am in the bathroom at Isabelle a couple of weeks ago. And she's so pretty. I talked to her a little bit. I don't know her very well, but she was so nice. And I know she was on season 10 with you. She seems like a lot of fun. Yeah. And she did cost me some aggravation. The one part where she brought me my, my uniform and their pants were too little. Is that the father you're talking about? That was too little. I look like 10 pounds of s**t and a five pound bag. I was cracking just because you were like, What's wrong with this? I said, I feel like I shouldn't look at me. I said, I look like the Doughboy. Somebody said and shrank, and you were like, shrunken this already my pants. I thought that was so funny. Oh, it was terrible. And you have no idea how hard I had to work just to get into those. And then you had the cameras come in. They're like, Look at this. Oh yeah, it was funny because they told me that in the in the control room, nobody had their headphones on there all year. Roll on on the floor laughing. Glad I can provide your office entertainment. Well, isn't that a fun part of doing reality TV, though? Like, I know if I get those moments, if I get a crew member or a camera guy laughing whenever you're filming, that's like one of the best feelings ever. You're like, Yes, my god, that's a laugh. Yeah, pretty nice way. Like, if I can say even about getting the audience or anybody else to laugh, I'm trying to get the camera got along. The camera guys to laugh. And you hit her after I hit a home run. You know, you're like, Yes, it's like the best feeling whenever you get the the inside of the thing. Yeah, that's I always just try to go for that. I don't care about everybody else. I just try to get the crew to laugh. Well, we we hear that you have a Vegas show coming up. Can you tell us a little bit about that and where I am really excited about that? I I did it at the at the urging of my publicist, Alyssa. It was just like, she's the rock and my I only have three. I have four people that work with me. Mm-Hmm. Have my attorney. I have Marianne, my rock. And then I have Alyssa and Samantha. I don't know much on it, but most of the people who work with me are women, and they keep me doing what I'm supposed to do properly at the right time. And Alissa said, I think you should do a one man show next year. Catch scares the hell out of me. She says, No, I think it'll be really, really good, she says. I have a friend that used to be a writer for Julia Roberts. Oh, cool. Name's Thea. And she said, I think I think we should take a look at it. And I said, What if we do it and nobody shows up? And have you thought of that? That's not going to happen. You that won't happen. So I agree. I agree. People love you. Yeah. And so we went ahead and did it, and we were just going to do a one off and we did it here and in Holly, what we did in Hollywood, Florida, at the Hard Rock Casino, at the nightclub there. Oh yeah. And I was so or I'm not going to lie. I threw up three times before I walked out on stage. Oh, you were that nervous? Oh man, I was. It's different doing a live show, you know, when you're used to reality TV because it's right in front of your face. Yeah, and there's nowhere to hide. Yeah, it's all on you. It's just you and you're sitting there and everybody's looking. I mean, there's nothing else to look at, right? But it went really well. I had a lot of fun after I got over my my, you know, first probably 10, 10 minute jitters. And then things started to flow, and it felt good and the audience got into it, the more the audience got into it, the more relaxed I got. Mm hmm. So it went really well. And so then when I when I found out that we were going to do BravoCon and in Vegas, I said, Wait a minute. I said, I have a friend that has a casino in a resort out there, the West Gate that we stay there. Mm hmm. And I called up David. Matt said, David, I said, you've got a room I could use on the second. So this meant the day before I said, Uh huh. That's like the perfect time to do it. Yeah, now you got out and I said, No, I want to. I want to do my my one man show out there. And he says, I think it's a great idea. He said, to let me know whatever you need and we'll make it happen. And I don't know if you remember who who David Siegel is. It was, they was. They were on. David and Jackie were on season eight, I think. And they had lost their daughter, Victoria, to a an overdose. And they'd been like five years at that point in time when they had lost them. And we talked about it, shared a lot of stories together, some that you saw on camera, some that you didn't see. But it was just it was. It's a shame that you have to connect with people over something like that, right? Yeah. But the connection was still there and we stayed in touch with each other over the years and we still do. And out of the blue, I'll just get a phone call from say, What are you doing? How's it going? And we have that relationship and I have the same. One was with his wife, Jackie, the queen of her side, the queen of her side. Yeah, and vici is. It is monumental. Oh yeah. To say the least. And I guess I had the privilege of touring it. But getting back to the biggest thing. And so he says, we've got to resort there, we got a casino there. He said I'd be honored if I could, if I could do it there, he said. Done. Very cool. We worked on it and I will be out there. Maybe I'll come to your show. Please do it yourself. Yeah, yeah. So it's going to be Thursday night, November 2nd at the West Gate. Yes, 7:30 at 7:30. I will, I promise, to take very good care of both of you. All right. That would be amazing. How about that? Well, everybody, sure, you go. Check it out. What's it called? What's your show called nightcap nightcap? Oh, that's perfect. That part's a perfect name nightcap. I mean, does it get any better? So if you're in Vegas, November 2nd, make sure you check out nightcap at the West Gate. It's a great sport, great merch, great merchant who I'm all about the money, everything the Jacksons always got coming back to merge stuff. I can't really get into it, which is great. Great extra money. I've never been a big merch guy either. Oh, you got it. You got it. Because now everybody watches reality shows. They all wear their merch while they're watching the shows. It's like the biggest thing now. So they have these big parties and they wear their masks from their favorite reality star, whatever their favorite sayings can. You have so many great one liners and you want them to have some? I'm going to have some merch out there. Yeah, I wouldn't. I wouldn't do this whole merch thing kicking and screaming. Yeah, sort of. Look at that and you get sometimes you get burned you and then you figure out what to do or what not to do. We went in and we got burned our first time too. But now we've got on the track. Yeah, you know, I won't get into it too much on this, but yeah, you learn what to do and what not to do and who takes advantage of you and whatnot. It's it's a it's you got to grind it the beginning, but once it gets going, once it gets going, it kind of takes care of itself. I tell you what I take, nothing is more valuable and I've had the same people with me. Mariam, 48 years. Yeah, and the rest of my team I've had with made from like season three and they're just salt of the Earth, and they're not doing it for the money, right? Doing it because when we get together and we do things like the show, the one show and stuff like that, we have a lot of fun. Yes, we have an amazing team. Yeah, we have it so that we they're like family to us. So I mean, yeah, I know what you mean. Our teams, not only our team, but they're our friends. Yeah, you know, like I said, we they come to all of our kids events, we go to their kids events and it's just and we become family. You know, like I said, they've been in our lives for not as long as you, but over a decade, you know? And like I said, a decade of time is a long time. So yes, it is. It's an important to have really good, solid people behind. It is, and yeah, especially because once you I don't know, I don't know what either one of you did before you got involved. And TBE, I was a Hooters girl. She was a Hooters girl. Cool. Yeah. Have you ever been to Hooters? I have I. In fact, I got to fly on their helicopter at one of the golf tournaments are obsessed with it. I was closest to the pin. Well, I was inducted into the Hall of Fame. So that's Hooters world. Well, that's something to be proud of bartending and working at restaurants and stuff. I don't play. You're a corporate trainer. Don't downplay it and ask, have I ever heard a tin roof? I think they have the better bartender may. That's one. Yes, Jackson was known because he was a bartender, sir, but I was actually a bartender because I worked at places like Hooters and Tin Roof that are like sports bars. And it was very quick. Like, we would work like openings like football games and season openers baseball. So we were always, constantly busy. Jack's voice in our muddle in one drink for like five minutes and saying he doesn't medal on Sunday. I was a much better bartender model, so that's literally the things that he and Maryann actually tended bar at at a few of our places that we own because we had some restaurants and some some clubs prior to me getting into the yachting world. I had to talk her into tending bar because I didn't have enough money to hire any help. And she said, I'm not doing that. She's a very she was very, very shy and so I had to teach her how to tend bar. And I said, you can't waste time pouring right handed. I said, you got a poor left handed. That's right. I'll grab you. Grab the gun with your with your right hand. Yeah. But you got a poor left hand in your well, you got to turn all the bottles this way so that you're ready to put it when you grab them. Yeah, because that was back in the day, that was 30 years ago and things have evolved. Oh, what? You guys like what you guys used to do it, sir. Yeah, you sit there and like and like me at work with me. You know that we're opening a bar. Yeah, it's called JAXA's and it's going to be open. Yeah, it's called JAXA's in Studio City, and the goal is to franchise them out. They my partners want to get one in Tampa. That's the next spot. But yes, our first one we had we have our first opening on Friday, the 29th. That's our first soft opening, but it's a kind of a sports bar. Tavern Bar Lounge got a little bit of everything, really excited about it. So if you're in L.A., you got to let us know so we can have you come to our bar? Yes, and we'll treat you there. Yeah, no, I have to have you. That's great for you guys. Thank you. Before, right? So I want to ask you a couple quickfire questions. If that's OK. So this will be fast answers, whatever comes to your mind. You ready? Oh my gosh. I want to do this crazy, dangerous. If you could be on any other reality TV show, what would it be and why? Deadliest catch. Oh gosh, yes. And because I would love to work with Captain Wild Bill. Yeah, I've met him. Interacted with him before. Yeah, me too. And. I would just want to see if I'm man enough to handle it. Same look so hard. Yeah, I've been I've been to those. I've seen the boats docked. I've been in Oregon where they doctor. It's awesome. Yeah, I'm with you on that. I'm with you on that question. Yeah. Deadliest catch. Yeah, I agree with your son. Yeah. Who is your favorite reality star of all time of all time? It could be any show. Well, the first was actually the first reality TV show, and I know you guys might remember this guy, Ellen Fun, which shows us and the camera candid camera. And I remember saying, I don't remember the gentleman's name, but I do remember Candy Camera and it was old and it is old. That's an old school show. They would just go out on the streets and young people that had no clue they were being. No, I think I know. And I remember you're a wild, wild situation now. And they would let it go to a point and then go like, smile. Yeah, it gets you. That's a great, great answer. While you're on candid camera, I know I thought about that a long time. Who is your gold? Yeah. Yeah, your least favorite reality star of all time least. I do have to keep on because I know I kind of have an idea who it is. So what actor would you want to play you at a movie cash? I already have it in my head just because I like the hunt for Red October. Yeah. And I've been accused of looking the thing a resemblance to Sean Connery. Sean Connery? Absolutely. And I think he epitomizes, especially in all the roles that he's played. Everything that I stand for. Yeah, yeah. That's exactly who I said that I aspired to be. You know, I'm going to be to watch what happens live in the next couple of weeks here. I'm going to make sure I tell Andy, you said hello. And I make sure I tell him that we have a podcast. But I just want to say thank you so much, so much for being on time. Kind of, you know, I've learned a couple of things, you know? You know, and I really, really appreciate it was turned into a little bit of a therapy session, which I really needed and enjoyed. I know my wife was very happy that you're on. Yes, she's been grinning ear to ear since we found out that you were going to be on the show. This is the first time you and I have ever been face to face. Oh, I know, so thank you so much. I was so excited to do this interview, and I was so excited to talk about your little Twitter feud and stuff. But anyway, I just want to say thank you so much for being here. And and I know you. I know you're busy, guy. And and it's it's been a privilege. Oh, I guess for you, for me to to be on your on your podcast, I'm honored. Thanks for coming on. We had so much fun on our next trip to Florida. We're going to visit you at least, at least you could take us out to a nice seafood dinner. I just want to. All I want to do is eat seafood dinners and Florida like I like. I like the the fried shrimp places and I we love all those those places in Florence. Our favorite thing to do was just go eat safe places in Florida. We have, we've got it all as far as I'm concerned in Florida. We got it all. I know you do. I can get Jackson's down there. Jesse Jackson's Tampa with an ocean. We have an ocean we can use. Yeah, seriously. I was just in Cabo and you cannot even get in the water there. It's insane. You know, something really funny. I've lived here since 2005. I've been in the ocean. Maybe three times, maybe three. I won't get it. And you were dressed up like a seal. Yeah, yeah. I won't get in. I won't get in the water here. But anyway, I won't keep you. I just want to say thank you again. And hopefully we'll be seeing you, sir. Thank you so much. Thanks, everybody, for tuning in to when reality hits with Jackson Britney. Bye bye, everybody.
