On Holy Saturday in 1980, Sister Margaret Ann Pahl was found dead. She had been brutally murdered, but her murder would go unsolved for more than a quarter century.

Action Park media. Let's get a mic check here. 1, 2, 12, episode 51. No graphs. Given the strength of a family, like the strength of an army lies in its loyalty to each other. The strength of a family, like the strength of an army lies in its loyalty to each other. I think it's just an important quote that can sort of apply to anyone in any situation, you know. Um, what is family? Obviously, we know extended family, we know our own personal family, first cousins, you know, but your co workers have to be your family, your support system has to be your family, you know. Um, even if you're on an own individual path, like let's say you're a martial artist, your professor is part of your family. The people that you see in class on a nightly basis are part of your family and there's a couple of things that I want to go through and I guess what I saw as I was putting the show together was this through line of, of, of family. You know what I mean? If we could take it to John Jones and, and, and the UFC. Um There's a disturbing incident that happened on an airplane, uh this weekend, this past Sunday that immediately puts you in the headspace of family. So there's a bunch to get into. Um even, even something weird and crazy that happened to me here on Friday with Scotty. So Scotty, Scotty Wilson, uh Scotty's our producer behind the scenes, you know, the guy that clinks his ice on the drink that's Scotty. So Scotty was editing a video for this, I guess this, this idea that we've all sort of blossomed and kicked around and, and we did our first one. We're gonna do another one today. What's it called? Quick shift? Yeah. What do you like? Do you like the name Michael? All right. Quick shift. So I walked into the office and I don't know, I was just in a little bit of a playful mood, you know what I find, I've always found this that, you know, and I'm trying to manage it, like, look in the mirror and, and, and, and emotions and all this stuff, right? But sometimes when I'm, when I'm quiet, it's, it's, it makes people feel even more uncomfortable than when I'm not quiet, which I guess is understandable. Um But also maybe my demeanor adds something to it. Like I need to be cognizant about it, you know what I mean? Um You have to understand what the, what the vibe is. So even in the jiu jitsu gym like, I'm very friendly and I love rolling with, like a guy came to class the other night, first time in the cla*s. Like, I love seeing that because I, I, I remember and I've been reminded recently what it feels like to be somebody you walk into a room and like, it takes a lot of guts to even just do that for the first time, let alone go into a competition or whatever it is. There's also a great interview with Lex Friedman interviews. Um Craig Jones and, and Nicky Ryan, a bunch of these kids from Austin that have this, this B team, this jiu jitsu team. Um There's a great interview. It is a great interview but they talk about, you know, learning and the best way to always learn is just, just jump right in, dive into the deep end. I always loved watching those videos. Uh There's videos on youtube of some people think that the best way to, to teach a baby to swim is just by dropping them in the pool, right? Old school. Yeah. And you know, sink or swim. But you know, you're in a safe environment, right? So the jiu jitsu, the mats are that similar. Like we're a bunch of dogs where I'm training, I'll say it once I'll say it again, we're not flow rolling. It's like a Brazilian warm up. You get in there and we don't have a warm up and we warm up with our first round, you ease into it and everybody knows and you know, when a guy turns it up on you and maybe you hadn't agreed to turn it up yet. Well, you better match his turn up otherwise you're gonna be in trouble. Or the beautiful thing is you can just say, yeah, bro, I'm not ready to turn it up and just tap. But jumping in and learning and being in that shark tank, that's how you, I think that that's the way to do it. Now, I do recommend maybe take a couple of private lessons before you go to your first cla*s. Just so you understand how to tie your belt and put your G on. Although I've, I've, I'm slowly, I've pretty much transitioned to, if I can choose, I'm going no g all the time. Um But there's not many gems that are just nog gems. It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a slippery slope, although I heard the 10th planet guys here are good and they do a lot of nog so I gotta go in there. Um But family, you know, that's my family. I would consider these people that show up three times a week at night and you know, they're f**king taping their, their fingers and the toes together because they've got torn ligaments and like these are just, these are blue, these are working class people that, that, that strive to have the feeling that this family provides them, even though they feel awful. I mean, I can't lift my right arm over my shoulder right now. If I have to turn to my right, I have to turn my shoulders. It's my neck and shoulder. You know, there's a little, there's a thing that I'm working through. Do I think that I'm injured? I'm not sure I have an M R I, that I can go and get, uh, do I want to see that? There's a slight tear in my shoulder. Not really, you know, um I'm not ready to see that right now, you know, just doing the mind over matter thing, right. Yeah, I actually crazy. Shout out to Dr Burke. I got a chiropractor man. This guy L A based, he's really figured out the system. Okay. You go into this chiropractor office, but he's got a doctor also. He's got all. So he's got a full staff. So I walk into a chiropractor appointment. I get hot packs. I get a little traction done. I get adjusted and then I go into another room and I get these, um, well, he gave me a Toradol shot. I never thought I was ever going to see a Toradol shot again. And Dr Burke had, he didn't even blink. He's like, let's get you a Toradol shot. I was like, well that, are you serious? I go Yeah. Okay. I was, I was flabbergasted. I immediately thought, oh my God, I'm gonna have like the best I'm gonna feel for the next 12 hours. I'm gonna feel better than I felt, man. And God knows how long since probably the last time I took a Toradol shot. So he bends me over the table and he gives me a Toradol shot. Then he gives me these shots that, um are I guess to break up the, the muscle bulges. I'm forgetting the name right now. Uh Pressure point, pressure point injections. So it's a mix of like Saline and, and uh what do they give you a cortisone? I walked in and walked out, I went to Jiu Jitsu that night and after class I took a shower and I realized I had all these band aids on, on my shoulder and my a*s and I just couldn't believe it. I was like, I can't believe I went to the chiropractor today and this guy, he's like dr feel good. So if anyone's in the L A area and they're looking for a great chiropractor, he also does orthotics. I mean, I think there's a podiatrist there. How long do the effects of those medicines last? I mean, did you have like a great weekend because of it? And I'm definitely feeling better. Um based on how much I've rolled in the last couple of days and sparred, I shouldn't be feeling as good as I'm feeling right now. So I'll take the upside and one of the beautiful things about the uh playing in the NHL is you have the option you get, you get an incredible insurance plan. Like I can't, I think about people right now in this country that have to pay insurance premiums, health insurance. You know, I pay a premium every month while you're playing. You get it for free because you're employed by the team, but because we have such a strong union and there's so much money going into this plan If you stay on the plan when you're done, it's like the Cadillac of health plans. I've never seen a copay for anything, brand medication, anything, any, any service that is done by a doctor or some sort of medical professional covered, my Botox in my armpits covered. What does, does that make you have any kind of feeling towards the UFC and there the makeup of their business and how they don't provide that for everyone? Well, yeah, that's an interesting question. I guess the, the, the tough we at this point and I'm not sure, have we really seen how much the, the UFC is making? Like, do we really know, you know, E F C uh ESPN and Disney, they have to report their earnings. But are we seeing what the actual profit is from the UFC or are they being very smart and they're reinvesting the majority of it like Dana is opening this PFC in, in Mexico right now, Africa next. So any profit that's coming in, they're probably just borrowing little money and they're building out the business. So the business is, is becoming exponentially worth more, you know, I'm not sure. Um, the NHL has been around 100 years. You play 82 games plus a year. It's, uh, you know, for each guy, the amount of damage that you're seeing on TV, on, you know, they can decide how many fights they want in a game. They're not held or bound to any contract. Didn't fight for three years. Yeah, I, I it's an interesting question. I just, I also think about just regular people like the health insurance, ratchet, the health insurance ratchet, you know, I think this would be a good time to play. I, I don't do the political thing very often. All right. Um but somebody sent me this video and there's three, this is part two of a three part series. Let me just play this. You know, I'm not smart. I may be a white boy but I'm not stupid. Which segues nicely into the world's favorite new game show. Is it racist? They're gonna put y'all back in chains. Even call centers, even call centers was rushed overseas in the hundreds of thousands. How many times you get to call? I'd like to talk to you about your credit card Because I was 29. I'm like the token black with the token woman. I was the token young person. You know, I've adopted the Attitude of the Great Negro at the time. This is our toughest. Is it racist yet, Haiti just quietly sunk into the Caribbean or rose up 300 ft. It wouldn't matter a whole lot. In Delaware. The largest growth in population is Indian. You cannot go to a 7 11 Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent to point. It's awful hard as well. Phoenix vaccinated as well. Wait, what? They're worried that they'll be vaccinated and deported. Wait, what? And that's how you play. Unbelievable. That's, uh that's your president, ladies and gentlemen, President Joe Biden. It's incredible. This January six, the tapes, these f**king tapes. I watched the Tucker last night. Okay. The shaman, the q, the Q shaman. Did you see it? I didn't know this guy's got a, he had a personal tour of the capital. He had two Capitol police officers with him just opening doors for him. And this guy is dressed like a really a legendary character. I can't believe people didn't have the guts to go as him for Halloween. He was the guy with the Buffalo. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Guy's a legend. Put his feet up on the, on the speaker's podium. Did you ever see Tim Dillon's sketch that he did know, mimicking that I, I need to send it to you. Okay. Um So you got January six, you got, you got President Biden? Alright. That, that tape. Now you could say and, and I'm all ears if you can find me a super cut and make it a three part series where Trump is saying wilder things about specifically black people and Indian people, you know, where to send it. I'm all ears. I'm not looking to point any point the finger at anyone. I just, this is, this is shocking to me. This is shocking and apparently it's a wide, it's a well known secret now that, that Biden is getting injected with methamphetamines. Um You know, he's getting like a liquid Adderall, uh which they also said Kennedy was, was basically a speed freak. Um I can understand it. It's a grueling schedule. I can understand it if you're still in the body and mind that can handle it. I don't, I don't, I don't like it being given to Biden to try and just get him to be able to speak words. That is scary to me. That is scary to me. By the way, if you're not following Tom Green on Instagram, you should. Tom is about to make Tom's ready. He is ready for his comeback. You know, you can't keep a great man or woman down. You really can't. Uh Tom Green's Instagram. Huge, huge. Oh Scotty's Scotty's story. I forgot to to finish it. I walked into the office and he had this like incredible satchel, this well worn, beautiful satchel and I was feeling a little frisky and I, and I looked at it and it was one of those I go, Scotty. Did you, did you ever work on Wall Street? And, and did you like comb f**king? How did you find that? That's such a cool Wall Street satchel And Scotty hit me with one of those bombs, one. And it's one of those moments where you never want to be in that moment. He said it was my dad's now, Scottie's dad is no longer with us. Scotty and Kevin refer to themselves as members of the three D club, the Dead Dad's Club there there. They really have incredible humor but see how I'm tying this into a family. I looked at that bag and immediately in my mind, Michael, you can relate is like, what would be the one thing out of all the things that we have that our kids would hold as a, as a memento. And it was, it turned into a real beautiful moment because I loved Scotty Moore because of that. You know what I mean? Like, we're all f**king human in this rat race where we're running around. We're all suffering loss. Um I went through a so we lost a dog this weekend. Um You know, and, and Chloe was, was a Chihuahua. Hillary. Chloe was Hillary's dog, you know, um Hillary was on the birth certificate. Now, Chloe was the first dog that I ever became close with because I didn't grow up with dogs. And there's something I'll say it's, it's as, it's as powerful as Jiu jitsu to me, like falling in love with a dog is one of the most important lessons that I think anyone can have in life. And actually I want to read something. Uh Hill posted something on, on Instagram that I thought was so incredible. It goes like this. Remember if a dog was the teacher, you would learn things like when your loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy. Take naps stretch before rising. Run romp and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you, avoid biting. When a simple growl will grow, will do on warm days. Stop to lie on your back, on the grass, on the hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk. Be faithful. Never pretend to be something you're not. If what you're, if what you want lies buried, dig until you find it when someone is having a bad day. Be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently. That's the secret of happiness that we can learn from a good dog. It's really one of the most incredible things I've ever read. Our next partner has a product I use almost every day. We're at war culturally with technology, we're all trying to find our place and fit in and get likes and, and, and, and do the dance, promote and be successful. But that's the ship that this comes down to and you know, imagine that, imagine imagine everyone treated there, friends and their family like they treat their dogs right? Because for the most part, everyone treats dogs unless you're Michael Vick. Which it's incredible that Michael Vick is actually on ABC now. I think he probably learned his lesson. And you know what I think he did listen and I should and I appreciate you for saying that Michael because if he did then he deserves a second chance. It's, it's almost like though dogs and, and, and pedophiles if you hurt dogs and you're a pedophile, you kinda, that might be the one thing that you can't come back from, but dogs aren't humans. I understand. I get it. Um I just, yeah, you know, I death and, and grief like this is actually the first time I was thinking about it. I remember when, when Dan Snyder died and I remember when Boogaard died, you know, I think age has a lot to do with it. Um I remember how I felt like I, I remember, I don't know if I cried when either of them passed away. You know, I was younger. I was still in the, in the jungle. I went in with a coat, I came out with a mink, you know, maybe I didn't have emotions like I, I, I have now, but it's just death is fun. It's tough. You know, I had uh I was raised Catholic and my mom worked at the church. So my brother and I served every funeral, altar boys and being around that much to three funerals a week and seeing people mourn and all of those things, open casket, whatever I became very, um, uh, what is that word? Yeah, I mean, and even to this day I find myself having difficulty getting worked up about any death and I haven't lost that many people, um, in my life, but I have lost some folks and I think that, um, I find that a little bit confusing when, you know, like you said, last week, you cried during American Idol or I cry watching a, an insurance commercial that has some kind of tired of being a parent or something. I find myself getting emotional in places where I haven't already suppressed that. And so when my grandfather passed away, I was more concerned with not having the belt that matched my suit. And I made us stop at the, we were late for my grandfather's funeral because I needed to stop him by a belt. Actually, Kevin told me a story. He shared this with me about remembering when his dad passed away. Um, because he has his dad's wallet, he actually has his mom's wallet. He's lost both his parents. He has both his mom and his dad's wallet and shout out to Al Avery's 70th birthday this week. Yeah, I got him a pair of golf shoes. I got him a pair of Skechers because Skechers makes an extra wide golf shoe. So that's above and beyond the wide and it's hard to find Skechers is in this. Uh Well, they're, they're footwear brand anyways. He's comfortable, they're very comfortable, good walking. It's a good shoe for him. So, so Al's got a pair of golf shoes coming. Uh Yeah, shoutout Scott Avery is on his jiu jitsu journey as well. That'll be a good match. Me and Scotty will flow role for the first time. Um uh U F C. I loved it. I loved it. I know that some people were underwhelmed but I loved it. I loved seeing Grosso. I loved seeing Jon Jones. I mean Grasso was a technician. It was unbelievable. I mean to beat Shevchenko and I guess because she's a southpaw or she took a southpaw position that nullified Shevchenko's kicks and I think she, that was the first time she didn't have the kick and she was a little lost. Even the best man. She was wearing the most damage. She looked like she was, she got beat up, she got beat up. Yeah, she did, she had some, she had some moments but she got f**king, the fight got brought to her. I liked how she handled herself after the fight though. Yeah. You know, she's a, she's a, she's like a clinician. She's like the prototypical like you want to look at a pro like you want them to and, and honestly, Connor was always like that in defeat. Also very good in defeat. You have to be man. This is a humbling game. This is a humbling game. I wish I was a little bit better in defeat back in the day. I think it would have, uh, tempered me a little bit. Um, John Jones. Well, what about the wrestler Rachmaninoff Rachmaninoff talking about? He's a, he's a home clone. There's something cut. These guys are just dangerous, man. You live in, you live in the mountains of eastern Europe, you just cut from a different cloth. I mean that's it. You know, it's like comparing a kid from Beverly Hills and, and uh and uh where did the Diaz brothers live? Stock? It's like comparing a kid from Stockton, California and Beverly Hills. They're just, they're just cut from a different cloth. Um So he's tough now. Bo Nickel. Oh yeah. Bow Nickel, right? Tough, really tough, super confident too. I don't like wrestlers. Alright. I've, I've, I've, now I've grown fond of not liking wrestlers because they in jiu jitsu in the relationship to it. They roll like they're just f**king weirdos, man. I don't know why anybody would do that in, in, in sports. Like high school university. Why? Because you get that entry level in, in high school. Yeah, I loved high school collegiate. It's a collegiate sport. Yeah, I'll say it once, I'll say it twice. The look good, feel good program. It's an important program but it's, it's also okay to ask for help sometimes. Keep that fire hot with Green Chef. All my buddies in high school wrestling. I went to a bunch of the matches. I loved high school wrestling. Yeah. Some of the jiu jitsu guys that are former wrestlers. They wear, uh, these ear guards when we roll and, you know, I'm never gonna look at you really like, it's like an NHL player. I think Patrick Kane wears the ear guards. Dave, can you grab Kevin? Um, so Jones, I mean, it's just utter domination. I mean, it's like we were questioning a guy that defended his, his, his lightweight belt that many times. Like, what did we think that he wasn't a dog? It was the unknown and it did look a little, I'll say clumsy compared to like, you know, how much he is such a tactician. Er, like he can, he can dominate a guy. This, he just manhandled Cyril gone, he grabbed him, he drug him to the ground. It kind of looked weird. Got a hook in and pinned him against the fence and that was that, yeah, well, a standing choke essentially. I mean, it went from like, you know, he took his hips, he kind of mounted him a little bit. Um, and I think the second he put that weight on the back of his head, I mean, that was a quick tap as soon as you fold the spine, that means you've closed the throat and got, he's going to sleep now gone. And, and also think about it Jones now and Monday morning quarterback, he would f**k Francis *** new up big time. He would f**k him up. Just manhandling Francis. You're out, bro. He didn't want that smoke. And where is that big deal? What happened? You haven't announced a fight yet. What's taking so long? You know, he and then guess, you know, we wake up this week and Jon Jones pound for pound. Number one. It's is it, did they give it to him? It goes, John Jones one volk to Makashov. Three. Whoa smoke that. Hey, Kevin, you were at the fight? Uh Mazel Tov. Happy birthday. Thank you. How old? 49? You look great. You look f**king great, moisturize. You look fantastic, bro. 49. How old is your wife? 43? Nice. Wow. She looks great. She looks better than you. She looks like as good as Penelope Cruz in blow in some of like the prime Penelope years there. We had a good um, by the way, I got the greatest birthday present because I had gone to Vegas the night before for UFC fight for UFC back on Sunday. What time did you get back, by the way too was at my house by two. And I was like, honestly, you know what I really want for my birthday in the next three hours just kind of lay here and stare at the wall and you got it. I got it. Yeah. What'd you, what'd you do? I just, I just went to sleep. I put on whatever, some long winded movie where I could drift in and out of Shawshank. I don't know. Whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Sunday movie. Sunday movie. Uh, let me ask you, how is the arena? Is it a, is it a, is the UFC one of the big players now? Oh, yeah. T Mobile was, was, was cracking. Unfortunately was a little anticlimactic with that fight. I mean, it's just this big build up and it just didn't seem like much. Yeah. And you didn't get a ton of smokers on the undercard. I mean, the Neil fight, Rockman, a fight was good but it was pretty good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, of course. But, you know, you didn't, like, like you didn't have, it was an absolute garbage fight. Yeah, you didn't have a Chandler. You didn't have one of the big boys, the girls, the girls stole the show. Yeah, she was great. Um, but it just, it was one of those things. I mean, I guess when you watch the replay, you know, you can see obviously that he, that he caught him with a choke but I don't know when you're there, it just comes out, he kicks him in the balls, like, which first seemed like it was on purpose, which is just strange to everybody and then the fight was over and it just was just sort of anticlimactic. Um, how's the crowd now? Because I, I went, it's been 10 years since I went and I went at Madison Square Garden. I think Connor's first MSG fight and I was afraid to, like, pick my eyes up from, from my feet when I was taking a piss, like it was, you know, the Irish were all in there and it was everyone wanted to fight. All right. It was a scary place. Is it still have that vibe there where it's like everyone's on ready to go or is it more commercialized now it's commercialized? But I mean, you know, I think with the emotions of the fight like I was at the cabin mcgregor fight and that was, that was dangerous, right? Okay. So very, so, so that this didn't have that vibe, okay? Um Kevin, I want to ask you about something. Let's let's play this clip Michael because we talked about family, uh the strength of a family, like the strength of an army lies in its loyalty to each other this past Sunday. One of the most disturbing videos I've ever seen uh some f**king lunatic that is on an L A to Boston fight flight which is a very common flight. A lot of us do it. You've, you've done this flight before uh one of the flights that went down in 9 11, right? So it's a soft spot play this because this guy just, this is what happened because I bought this house as renamed by God since I'm taking over this plane. I'm telling you right now. Okay. Yeah, I can't get by that. We gotta go. That's what's going these guys. That's right. Yeah. All right. So essentially this guy went nuts. He stabbed a flight attendant three times with a wine opener. I think it was like a corkscrew, some kind of makeshift shank he made on the plane like it was out of a spoon or something really broken off spoon. That, that's what I heard. He heard it on the internet. It could not know. But I mean, it makes sense. It was, it was something small and like, I guess here's the point. All right, we're talking about family. I was talking about it with Kevin. So now because I'm a martial artist and, and the video is wild. You see there's a guy sitting beside him the whole time that's just staring ahead. It's like our society is a little bit bonkers right now because, and you made the point, Kevin, we're all afraid to do anything in situations like that because who knows what, whether will be charged and will be arrested. Like the, the bodega guy that, that stabbed a guy that was gonna shoot him or tried to shoot him. They put him in jail on Rikers and then they let him out because everyone realized that it was criminal to try and charge this guy. So there's that situation I would have just, you know, as a martial artist. Now, I would have, that would have been an opportunity where I would have not done what I used to have done and what we were talking about, Kevin, some of our similar friends, like there's people that we know that if they were on that plane and they hit this guy with one punch, he might be dead and you have to make that one punch count. And, and I said, yeah, if I, if that was me and I was taking that punch, I, I wouldn't have needed anyone with me. I would have made the decision and the decision would have been made because you know what, this is traumatizing, not only the adults, but if there's any kids now around, f**k, you gotta, you know, that's how you scar a kid for life that won't get on a plane for the for forever. So you gotta take this, I go into that situation and say I'm gonna hit this guy so hard, I'm gonna break my hand and there's no way he's getting up. Now. I would just sit, sat on the edge and I would have been like if you come out of this row, um I'm gonna put you in a wrist lock and I'm gonna break your wrist, wrist locks are so nasty. Uh wrist locks are and then if, if it gets whatever, I'll choke you out, you're going, come on, bro, you're gonna go, you would go risk lock today. You're telling me you wouldn't just go with the hand breaker and eliminate any possibility for error, any room for error. Well, the wrist lock would break his wrist. You gotta catch that. It's easier to catch a right hand. You've thrown a bunch of those. Yeah. But now, you know, I'm thinking everyone's got their phones out like I got to get a good finish here. You know, if I'm gonna do this, if I'm gonna be on the front page, every f**king paper, I want to do it with a wrist lock, wrist, lock, the world, Pete the Greek. And you think about the guys, think about how rattled we could talk about what we would do. But think about it all of a sudden there's a lunatic who has attempted to open the door of the plane and then he's wielding a knife like that and acting like a lunatic and actually makes contact and stabs the attendant. I don't know, man, I'm somewhere between frozen and like trying to rally a couple other dudes. Well, yeah, I would have, that's why I say I wouldn't have let him get out of his row. But yeah, if you know, f**k, man, what do we do to protect our family and situations that, that call for us to, to put ourselves out on the line you know, it's always a little bit different. I know that you would have seen Red Kevin. I mean, I feel like I would have been part of the part of the Mob. I think you would have, I think you would have got the mob going earlier. Yeah, Michael. I think you would have potentially put yourself in harm because you let your emotions get the most of you from Rush this guy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe take the, take the stabbing but, well, maybe if I'm the guy behind, right. So he's walking towards the front of the plane. Yeah, maybe I go low, you go high, you know, just tabletop right behind him and then just do the old fashioned like we did in school. So situational, right? Like how close are you to is my kid on the, on the plane? Big question to be asked, how close are you to me? Like, do I come from eight rows back? Probably not. I mean, I think there's something to be said for that being in a pretty big moment and some of those people are, look like, hey, I'm supposed to be minding my own business and be like, what am I supposed to do? I already know. I've already played this out in my head. It was such a beautiful opportunity. I would have casually walked up very, very relaxed. Like when I poke the guy in the back of the legs, you know, like everything gets calm in the old days like that. Okay. And I would have just very nicely and gently tapped the guy in the seat beside the lunatic and been like, hey, Chief go grab my seat like get the funk outta here. Alright. And I would have taken that seat and I would have just sat there and just. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I mean think about Tyson what Tyson did just over the top of, of, of, I mean, Jesus imagine Tyson's on that, you know, you're going to pick the wrong flight one of these days he could have very easily. You picked the wrong flight that day. You don't know that, but you can see in the video there's that guy that's like sitting in front the, directly in front of him. It's just sort of staring off and it's like, I don't know, I could see how that could happen as well. Yeah. Um, couple of things that I just, we're gonna talk a quick couple of hockey things. I want you in on Kevin. Did you know that Elon Musk personally has more satellites in orbit than all of the world's nations combined. You should see this graph. Ellen is, uh, he's on a Twitter feud with somebody today. The, the guy is a, is a beast. No man ever steps in the same river twice for. It's not the same river and he's not the same man. Think about that. No man ever steps in the same river twice for. It's not the same river and he's not the same man. I like that one. Um What do you got hockey wise? Uh Michael. Should I just come out of the gate and tell you, I want to talk about the kings. Uh We could, we were going to save that, the goalies thing. I don't want to talk about the kings. Yeah, I didn't think so. I just wanted to hear. So, you know, there's a chance mcdavid's now reached his highest point total in his career. 124 points with 17 games left. So does he make 100 and 50 to be the sixth player in NHL history to ever make 100 and 50 points? Joining Wayne Gretzky who did it nine times. Mario Lemieux who did it four times and one each for Phil esposito, Bernie Nicholls and Stevie. Y So, you know, we want to, you want to know what's interesting about all those names on that list? They've all won Stanley Cups. Now, Connor is not on that list yet. He's going to be, he's an outstanding player. They better get him there, bro. They are, they are embarrassing to watch. They got this guy who is the one of the probably maybe will go down as the greatest player of all time like early in lebron's career, but lebron started winning titles. That's the difference. Alright. Uh this guy, his team, he scores six goals, they scored six goals, they lose 76. You guys like watching this ship And listen, this is a bold statement and with all due respect to 99 and Mario, I think we're watching the greatest player that ever lived fair enough. But if there's a long shot doesn't mean he's gonna win if there's a long shot and it's a long shot. If they do not make the playoffs this year, something probably happens, You know, because do they get the Connor? But could they tank the next 16 games and get the Connor Bedard pick? They couldn't take that trade, they could trade David for that pick. Well, now you're getting f**king, you know, Michael every once in a while you drop a, you drop a little diamond in the rough buddy. I'll tell you that right now. Enjoy this f**king gleaming moment. Beautiful. What do you think about that? I mean, I, I think it would be, it would be crazy to do that. I don't, but, you know, I guess my question is, is there a world where the, the NHL is influential in moving him? Well, so I've trolled a little bit on social media accounts of saying that uh Connor mcdavid's could be Gretzky two point oh I mean, him coming to the King's is probably the best thing that could happen to him and the NHL it's, well, he would fit in here and not just, not just stylistically but if you're trying to grow the game and he's the greatest player of all time were king media city. Like that's the place you want them to be. This is what I'm saying is Gary Bettman and their meetings, maybe some closed door meetings where like there's no flies on the wall where they're like, we gotta get this guy Edmonton. What are we gonna do? Absolutely. First of all, we're, we're starting to realize there's closed door meetings in every sector of every f**king space that we're currently living in. The Twitter files that they, they have the best power play in NHL history right now. I mean, they have stats that you see, that are just absolutely dry cycle is a dominating effect. He got that one time a wrist shot, he's always on that f**king goal line. He scores, they're pure domination. They are embarrassing to watch. I mean, I have to watch every, I watch every game that they play. A and I mean, you see it two or three times a game where he does something that you're just like, wow, he has two or three steps ahead of the best player he's playing against and there's nothing anybody can do about it. If you saw there was a shot that was, that went wide, came behind the net. He had tucked it in a kind of a wraparound way before the defenseman like, yeah, listen, with all due respect to all the other teams, obviously, I'm an Islander fan but if I'm flipping through the TV, and there's, I'm looking at games and the Oilers games on them. I don't even, I realize I'm doing it. The channel just stops to watch a couple of mcdavid's shift. You don't even have to watch the whole game. You watch 10 minutes of it and then you'll go. Oh yeah, that guy is the best ever and then you can flip the channel. Alright, fine. If you watch 10 minutes, Ryan o'reilly on the ir. Hey, listen, everybody was happy deadline. f**king leaf fans, boy. Oh boy, they're just the human c**k holds of the, of the cold universe. I mean, I don't know. We'll see, hey, it's got, who's your goalie? That's a tough break. You know, it is a tough break and you look at some of these big media markets for the NHL Toronto, Vancouver Edmonton. These guys are like in the fire every day. So another reason why I think mcdavid's comes to L A gets to chill out. Let's just bring it back. How about that hit on tavares? Did you see that? Did that guy get suspended? I don't think so big hit. We'll talk about that when you look at it feels like the guy looks like the guy could have left his feet even. But I mean, it looks like a pretty vicious Jake mccabe, right? What else you got Michael? You guys in your f**king allegiances? I'm not talking about Tampa based five game losing streak right now. Alright. They'll win eight in a row to close out the season and let's get ready for the playoffs. What do you got ESPN? First take? Oh, f**k, Stephen A Smith. Did you see this? But I saw it live. Yeah, you're an ESPN guy. Kev's a, he's still a closeted. Listen, Kev's, uh, he's all over. What do you mean what? I'm a closet of what? Because I'm watching ESPN. What should I be watching? Well, I mean, you know, you can't, there's nothing else to watch. Well, we have a very limited but you Hulu on the free Hulu with, with ads, limited, limited channels, you'll, you'll bite the bullet and, you know, ESPN is a little bit of, uh, I don't know, whatever anyways, look, they're doing TV, shows and that was good TV. Their ratings are s**t. So they got a bunch of ratings to come in. Not today. Exactly. And then they're proud of that. But to me it's like NHL makes or the ESPN makes a big investment and, um, getting the rights to you, what do you wanna do? You wanna, you wanna, you wanna f**king PP Wax Stephen A Smith and, and the Asian female Asian co host, which, by the way, she's untouchable. So you're not gonna pee pee whack her. How about we just show the, the training footage of Stephen A Smith boxing and ask what his um, nonathletic a*s thinks about hockey. Who gives a ship. What f**king Stephen, a Smith's midget ask, thinks about the greatest game on a couple things and Stephen A's defense. First of all, Stephen is about six ft four, he's six ft five. But the point is that the guy makes $10 million a year to sit up there and not just agree with people, was that a weird thing to do with the hockey? Of course, but Stephen, a Smith's job is to, it's his job and like, what, what are you supposed to do? You trust me? He's not threatened and I can guarantee you nobody's calling him into PP whack him. Gary doesn't have that much control. Stephen is the big star. Like, you know, listen, by the way, Mark Wahlberg said back in the day about the 9 11 hijackers would have been stopped the two, the two way, there's 22 ways. If I was on the plane with my kids, there would have been a lot of blood in that first class cabin. And then me saying okay, we're gonna land somewhere safely. Don't worry. He's now apologized. I don't know why he apologized about that. I mean, you know, because he said it a and I think the heat of the moment of 9 11 when everybody was a little bit emotional and then there, I think some of your taking shots at like that some of the families weren't there to handle business. Understand, I understand. I just, I want everyone to live with their heart on their sleeve a little bit more, you know. Um, a lot of people said a lot of things in those first, that first week, two weeks, it was crazy time. Have I ever told you about the rumble, the video that the Italian, the architects that you can watch on? Rumble. It's like five hours long. I sent it to you the 9 11 conspiracy theory. How about all those conspiracies over the last couple of years that have come? True. Shout out to the conspiracy theory. The Wuhan lab leak is, is a lab leak. Can you believe that? What else you got? Um okay. Well, this is something for Scotty but like if there's a parlay, maybe this is something we could talk about Scotty's picks but uh he had a tough night. Does pasta get the heart? Does all Mark get the Vezina, does mcavoy get the Norris, you know, get that Scotty's not here because you can't ask him any of those questions and get a, get a true honest, there's too much heart and home. Who cares? I mean the Boston Bruins the fastest team to 100 points in NHL history. Okay. All right, fine, fine, fine. I mean eight single digit loss. Alright, fine. I'll give it to you but you sent me something that I got a kick out of and I saw when I was watching the game Bertuzzi not having any tape on his. Did you see that? I, I saw a clip of it by, you know, look, that is the most gangster O G thing I've ever seen in my life. That guy. Alright. He's a cousin, a disciple of Todd Bertuzzi whose give a funk level was always at arresting one that is one of the most outrageous that's like a guy putting his skates on with no laces. I mean, it is like a guy playing out there with no blades on his skates. What an what an aggressive, insane. If the NHL had half a brain they would, they would take over because they'd be like, we're not letting spit and chick, let's steal that scoop. But they probably don't even have anyone that's watching games and goes, oh my God. Did you just see Bertuzzi stick? Because nobody played hockey? Like it was, I've never played with a guy that, that, that I would have loved to have played with a guy that, that's wild. I know it sounds weird but he has no tape on the top of his stick. It was insane. And then I saw, uh center men, young kid from Seattle Morgen. Geeky is wearing a pink visor. Did you see this? I, I saw it and I immediately thought that that would maybe make your, uh, it makes me mad. I'm mad at you that you brought it up. I'm not mad at Gordon geeky, the poor cousin of Gordon Gekko. I'm not interested in that. Do you have one more to close this out with? Yes. Um I guess I'll do tan with the boy. I love a dead a deadline acquisition and I love a guy that, first of all, he found that punch. He waited for that punch. That was his punch and that was a f**king missile. A missile. That kid, I like him. Great trade. Great fun because I know I could just tell right now, I just got goose bumps. That kid's got the killer mentality. He's ready to go on a run. What a great nice little addition piece of the puzzle we're having, we're having in house fighting in, in, in Tampa right now. It's fine. Coop benched pointer, Stamkos and, and coach, which is, you know, say what you will about f**king uh Tortorella. That's the difference. Koop can do that and, and gain respect Tortorella does that because he doesn't understand the game. And everyone's like what you just realize and he loses the room. So we'll be fine. But yes, Tanner, you know. Great.
